Job Description
The Equipment and Process Engineering teams are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to provide support to our Beaverton, Oregon wafer fab. As a fab engineering intern, you'll be supporting the semiconductor manufacturing process inside a wafer fab. This will include solving day to day issues that arise as well as making progress on long-term improvement projects.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Perform, direct, and coordinate installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance of wet etch and solvent strip tools:
* Electrical systems
* Electronic controls
* Mechanical systems
* Pneumatics
* Chemical delivery
* Analyzing equipment and subsystems availability/uptime metrics and develop plans to improve.
* Writing and editing equipment maintenance and repair specifications.
* Designing, prototyping, and deploying equipment upgrades.
* Experience with FMEA, advanced design, design for manufacturing, material selection, root cause failure analysis and other mechanical and computational concepts.
* Developing Training plans for technicians for tool maintenance and career development
Minimum qualifications
* Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, or a related field of study.

Your Assignment
The goal of the internship is to work in a team environment alongside local experienced engineers, project managers, and leaders to gain insight on the ASML ways of working and our groundbreaking technology.
Specific projects will be tailored to match the education/experience level of the intern as well as the interns learning objectives for the summer.
Interns will typically be required to document and present their findings as well as making an end of summer presentation to the group about what they achieved during their internship.
Past projects have included:
Identifying and documenting goals and targets (KPIs).
Evaluating current processes and updating documentation to adhere to continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN/6 Sigma).
Creating data visualizations to identify potential opportunities for automation (Tableau/Power BI/Python).
Collaborating with Engineers from other areas and shifts to identify Best Known Methods (BKMs).
Participating in projects to improve performance of the FAB.
Education and experience
Minimum 60 hours completed towards a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field and an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.
Preferred Majors: Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Micro-electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering or IC manufacturing.
Knowledgeable in MS Office applications - Excel, OneNote, Teams, PowerPoint.

The City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Engineering Associate - Electrical Specialty to join our dynamic Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Program team within the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Group.
The purpose of the E&I Program is to maintain wastewater and stormwater treatment systems at the wastewater treatment plants and pump stations to meet the required levels of service while minimizing asset life-cycle costs at an acceptable level of risk.
