The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Associate/Experienced Aeroelasticity and Dynamics Engineer to support tactical aircraft programs in Hazelwood, MO.
As a member of the BDS Fixed-Wing Loads & Dynamics (L&D) Capability Team, you will be part of a core engineering team directly supporting production and development programs including F-15, F/A-18, T-7A, MQ-25, and proprietary programs. The L&D team is looking for individuals with experience in flutter, divergence, structural mode interaction (SMI) and aeroservoelasticity (ASE).

Position Responsibilities:
Support the development of air vehicle requirements for aeroelasticity including flutter, divergence, freeplay and rigidity
Collaborate with the airframe & subsystems design and analysis engineers to generate integrated aero and structural models for flight vehicle analysis consistent with a Model Based Engineering (MBE) environment
Perform and lead analysis for flutter, divergence, aeroservoelasticity, freeplay and rigidity to support air vehicle design and stores integration
Define allowable flight envelopes and operational limits
Support the development of flight flutter test and ground vibration test plans
Create finite element models and correlate to test results
Perform ground and/or flight test programs, by the development of test requirements, providing data for pre-test analysis, monitoring testing, data analysis and documenting results, in order to support design and verification of vehicle and components
Provide data to support the definition and documentation of structural design requirements for the service life of the product, to ensure company, customer and regulatory requirements are met
Present engineering data and results to management and customers during program level reviews and other technical meeting
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Course work and/or work experience in one or more of the following technical competencies: Aerodynamics, Stability & Control, Structural Dynamics / Vibrations, Aeroelasticity, and/or Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Experience with programming languages, scripting, and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
2+ years of experience in flutter analysis, divergence analysis, aeroservoelastic analysis, structural dynamics, and finite element methods
2+ years of experience working with Laboratory Test, Flight Test and/or Flight Science domains
2+ years of experience with Air Vehicle Systems
Strong communication skills and customer focus
Experience leading teams on complex projects
Experience with one or more of the following programming languages do you have? (C, C++, Fortran, Python, Matlab, etc.)

This position assists the Civil Engineer in the application of principles, methods and techniques of civil engineering technology by performing routine and complex engineering technician related work for environmental, water, sewer, street and other public works projects and programs and computer aided drafting and design.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Assists in the preparation of bid packages, project planning and monitoring of job costs.
* Performs traffic counts, traffic studies, accident analysis, sign location studies and other traffic studies as required.
* Assists in the preparation of as-built records of projects and documents necessary changes for the operation and maintenance programs.
* Maintains a daily log of all project activities and prepares project status reports.
* Performs computer aided drafting of an engineer's design.
* Reviews project specifications and confers with Deputy Director concerning assistance required, such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, evaluation of field conditions, design changes and reports.
