Role Overview

Summer Analyst Program Overview:

The CB Summer Analyst program is designed for candidates between their second and third year of a undergraduate school. Summer analysts will gain valuable experience and exposure to a wide number of industries during the 10-week program. In addition to this on-the-job experience, the program includes the opportunity to network across various business groups, learn about the culture of BMO Capital Markets, participate in training and learning seminars, and obtain career guidance from dedicated mentors. Throughout the interview process candidates will meet with various Corporate Banking groups and will then receive a desk specific offer.
Responsibilities:
Processing client requests (e.g. new credit facilities and extensions and/or amendments to existing credit facilities).
Completing annual / interim credit reviews. Credit reviews include industry and financial analysis comprising of: operating performance, cash flow, leverage, coverage and liquidity, as well as capital-at-risk and other regulatory capital calculations.
Monitoring performance of portfolio companies against credit terms and conditions and identify changes in the financial condition of a client.
Preparing presentation materials and relationship profitability assessments, which involve liaising with other product and industry groups within BMO Capital Markets.
Performing other duties including industry and company-specific research, as well as ad hoc projects for senior professionals.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Ability to work Full-Time in Summer 2025 for a minimum of 10 weeks.

On any give day, you'll:
Perform field work, herbicide application, and mechanical control (using brush cutters, mowers, and hand tools)
Live plant, shrub, and tree installation; algae control applications; tree and shrub removal; litter pick up; and seed and erosion control blanket installation
Use power tools, trailers, and motorized equipment to perform work
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a valid driver's license
Illinois Pesticide Applicator or Operator license required 60 days prior to employment (HLR will assist with licensure costs)
Experience communicating effectively with residents and other stakeholders
Enthusiastic, courteous, positive attitude, and team spirit
Ecology background is a plus, but not required
Physical Demands:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As an Mine Engineering Intern in our ACM (Aggregate Construction Materials) division, you'll be immersed in the world of aggregates, gaining practical experience and developing key production and leadership skills:
* Hands-on Learning: Dive into the operational procedures, production/maintenance activities, and product knowledge at our Aggregate sites. You'll be actively involved in understanding and optimizing mechanical, maintenance, and production processes.
* Data-Driven Insights: Collect and analyze data, identify process correlations, and contribute to the development of strategies for ongoing projects.
* Operational Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with daily mine operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling activities.
* Equipment Monitoring: Work alongside operators to learn about the maintenance and operation of heavy mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments such as geology, engineering, and safety to understand the full spectrum of operations.

* Transportation: Interns are responsible for their own transportation to and from their worksites.
* Travel: Throughout the internship, you may need to travel to other sites for tours, shadowing experiences, or intern events.
