Perform component, subsystem, and product testing, evaluating performance per specification
Maintain and learn new technological skills so that they may be appropriately applied in product test or to development processes
Utilize and interpret the following test and development instrumentation: Digital oscilloscopes, voltage and current probes, tachometers, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, EMC analyzers, surge generators, and partial discharge testers
Shall understand and practice laboratory procedures for the safe and efficient use of electronic instrumentation, electrical power, rotating electrical machinery, and general laboratory cleanliness
Writes reports, test plans and other related or supporting levels of documentation
Assist others in the accomplishment of development programs, from evaluating design concepts through experimentation and prototype development including engineering documentation
Use ordinary hand and power tools to construct and fabricate prototype circuits, sub-systems and systems commonly found in a power electronics industry

KEY DUTIES:
Designs, validates, and brings new products to market.
Provide new product development support in the Industrial, Commercial, Residential and/or Retail generator or Power Tool product area including; Creating and maintaining CAD models, drawings, and BOMs, Supporting product development plans (schedule, product cost, meeting design inputs), Interfacing with internal company personnel, Provide technical support for assigned projects.

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanical/Forging Engineering Intern at our Cudahy, WI plant located approximately 5 miles south of Milwaukee. As an intern at ATI Cudahy Operations, you will get to learn from an experienced and knowledgeable group of professionals in a unique environment, gaining priceless experience in the materials science industry.
Essential Functions:
Working on safety issues and concerns within the Forge Shop
Implementing/creating Forge Shop and Die Room improvements
Assessing inspection methods
Helping solve Forge Shop Engineering Issues
Assisting with instructions for various processes not limited to grinding, cleaning and forging process
