Job Summary:
The RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services Department at Raytheon in Andover, MA, is currently seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to develop leading-edge miniaturized 3DHI sensors and systems to enable future generation technologies across Raytheon.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated "self-starter" who will apply strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills to implement innovative solutions to challenging design criteria. They will be involved in research efforts including initial concepts, advanced technology demonstrations, and will have the opportunity to follow product development from beginning to end, including documentation, fabrication, assembly, and test/delivery of a range of microelectronics products. This position requires strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to maintain positive relationships & satisfaction with Program leadership (Engineering and Program Management). Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials and prior experience working with contract manufacturers (OSATs) is highly desired.
The role requires knowledge of high-density microelectronic packaging designs including Interposers, organic substrates, wafer and chip bumping and general knowledge in areas of electronic components/devices such as ASICs and FPGAs, design of electronic packaging chassis and structures, interconnects (connectors/cables), and thermal management design of high-density electronic systems and electronic enclosures. The successful candidate will have the ability to bring new and fresh ideas to the team, with opportunities to explore research and innovation areas in a collaborative and fun team environment. Additionally, the candidate is expected to follow established procedures in creation of technical data package work products, while working closely with program management and functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met.
What You Will Do:
Work with cross-functional hardware engineering teams to develop advanced microelectronics packages including 3DHI, 3D, and 2.5D (interposer + chiplets) and novel material and process solutions for RF, digital, mixed-signal, and photonics products
Leverage industry-leading manufacturing and novel materials to achieve new levels of electro-mechanical performance and reliability
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field and a minimum of Five (5) or more years of relevant experience (An advanced STEM degree could count for 3 years of experience) with mechanical and electrical engineering design.

The Role:
We are seeking a candidate to drive power delivery technology and design tool development for 2.5D/3D IC packaging technologies targeted for future AI products. Products in this segment will have significant generation-over-generation growth in power handling requirements and design complexity while holding to aggressive schedules, so new EDA tools are required to accelerate the speed, accuracy, and performance of advanced packaging design. The Industrial Electrical/Controls Technician provides plant-wide support for the selection, installation, programming, documentation, training and knowledge of plant industrial controls, including computer integration of PLC's, HMI's and process controls within the facility, training of end users on the operations of newly installed or modified process or control systems, and for standardization of control systems and control logic designs, documentation of operational procedures and as-built electrical drawings and logic. The Industrial electrical/Controls Technician is also the plant liaison for new system start up and commissioning by outside electrical and controls contractors and system integrators to ensure proper transfer of electrical red lines or updated electrical drawings and documented PLC programs changes and adequate training on the installation/changes that have been completed. The ICT is also responsible to keep control panels up to date and help rebuild when needed.
The Electrical portion includes, designing, implementing electrical changes or additions to the electrical infrastructure. It is also the objective to oversee the contracted work to assure it is designed and installed per LFC guidelines.
This position is also responsible to update the systems I/O list and create them if missing from the Document library.

Implementation of Control Systems
Owns, drives, and has full accountability for designing and implementing new control systems and equipment on capital projects with the input from the engineering team.
Oversees outside system integrators and controls contractors in their work within the facility.
Ensures that all projects are documented, and information is available for use by all maintenance and production employees.
Ensures work is accomplished in a safe and sanitary manner by directing employees and contractors and monitoring adherence to Company policies.
Control System Maintenance & Inspection
Has accountability for supporting server-based solutions and/or network infrastructure to maximize effectiveness of the plant's investment in shared computing resources, including effective deployment and utilization of servers (standalone and clustered), thin clients/terminal services, structured cabling, routers, switches, and network This more in the controls system side of our network. Asset-Center, Wonderware etc.
Performs, provides details for, and inspects repairs to control and instrumentation systems to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with plant standards and governmental regulations.
Determines necessary quantities of spare controls and instrumentation parts and supplies for all plant equipment.
Ensure all Control systems, PLC and MCC have a current I/O List.
Training and Documentation
Ensures that appropriate training and documentation is available for use in proper training of Maintenance and Operations personnel.
Coordinates, champions, and provides training and development for Maintenance Technicians to upgrade their controls skill levels.
Accountable for maintaining appropriate records and files pertaining to plant maintenance activities to ensure availability of information regarding machine and facilities requirements.
Problem-solving & Troubleshooting
Acts as resource to production and maintenance teams, in problem solving and troubleshooting, operational activities to reduce downtime related to electrical and control problems.
Integrates LEPRINO QUALITY into all aspects of the Allendale plant as evidenced by demonstrated continuous improvement, teamwork with co-workers, distinguished customer service and striving for excellence.

Performs data entry and computer-aided analysis.
Prepares required worksheets and inspection reports.
Processes various construction-related documents and maintains construction project records.

Minimum Qualifications:Education:
Must be enrolled in an engineering or related science degree program in an accredited college or university accepted by TX PELS.
Other Conditions:
Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.
