Job Description
Position Purpose:
This position provides specialized transportation and disposal services to our clients. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading, and coordinating transportation.
Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing/potential problems.
Comply and enforce all compliance, health, safety, and procedures in accordance with VES-TS policies.
Become familiar with all U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT)/Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) and VES-TS regulations required in submitting paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste.
Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
Other duties as assigned.

Schedule Full Time: 80 Hours/Biweekly Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm Every 4th Weekend and Rotating Holidays, Required Starting Rate: $17.00/hr + pay for experience Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas of the hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
* Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathrooms.
* Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms.
* Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways and public areas.
* Cleans fixtures, tops of windows, door frames and high areas using a ladder.
* Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
* Removes waste and soiled linens from work area and places in specified bags or containers.
* Assists in hanging drapes and dividers and takes them down for cleaning.
* IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares room for new occupant; follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
* IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: Receives direct supervision from professional nursing staff and Supervisor-Environmental Services.
* IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: Responds to call lights, if in immediate area.
* IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas and/or patient rooms.
* IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: Ensures patient rooms are stocked with appropriate items prior to patient's admission.
* IF ASSIGNED TO A PATIENT CARE UNIT: Communicates with patients and families to promote their comfort. Notifies the nurse or other available care team member as needed to meet a patient's request.

* Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators and lobby area.
