A DAY IN THE LIFE
IDEAL CANDIDATES will have an intimate understanding of oil and gas field operations (experience working in an O&G facility would be a definite asset) and have experience in performing hydrocarbon fugitive emission and /or leak detection projects. Our US offices are located in Denver, CO, Houston, TX and Pittsburgh, PA; however, this opportunity is a 100% field position and will require extensive travel throughout the USA. This position will focus on our clients in the USA (EPA Subpart VV, VVa, KKK, OOOO, OOOOa, and W compliance) but may also require occasional travel to work on projects in Canada or other international locations. Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
1. GS-7: You must have completed or will complete a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's from an accredited institution AND must have documented Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the undergraduate level in the following:
a) Grade Point Average 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript or as computed based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of curriculum; OR 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum.
2. GS-9: You must have completed 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree:
a) Grade Point Average - 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript or as computed based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of curriculum; OR 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum. If more than 10 percent of total undergraduate credit hours are non-graded, i.e. pass/fail, CLEP, CCAF, DANTES, military credit, etc. you cannot qualify based on GPA.

1. Professional knowledge of environmental physical science principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to carry out tasks and provide support using established procedures and methods in assigned.

Conejo Valley Unified BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of Outdoor School Program Administrator and Assistant Coordinator, guide students on interpretive nature hikes and conduct hands-on activities and lessons to teach 6th grade students astronomy, botany, ecology, geology, hydrology, oceanography, and zoology in a natural area that includes chaparral, riparian woodland, and tide pools. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Conejo Valley Unified School District Outdoor School is a residential program for 6th grade students. The program is held at Camp Bloomfield, a 40-acre camp located 2.5 miles inland from the Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu, California. The Outdoor School program runs from mid-February until mid-April, 2010 which includes a paid training and preparation week. The program runs from Monday-Friday, with an exchange of student groups on Wednesdays. Room and board are included for Outdoor School staff during weekdays only. Weekend housing may be possible with prior arrangements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach 6th grade students science and environmental education concepts through outdoor adventure activities. Under general direction, conduct an activity oriented, interdisciplinary curriculum in science and environmental field study in an outdoor setting. Assist with the supervision of high school student cabin counselors. Maintain a supportive and collaborative work environment with fellow naturalists, cabin leaders, Camp Bloomfield support staff, and outdoor school coordinator. Our hands-on approach to outdoor education allows participants to explore the outdoors and science while developing creativity, leadership skills and a respect for the environment.
Job Description
Spring Seasonal Naturalist Position
We are looking for educated, professional and energetic people for our academic naturalist seasonal position. Come to Orange County, CA and help us mold young minds and have fun too as we teach common core science standards to students. Our coverage in science goes over the field of life science, physical science and earth science. These include conducting experiments, using our telescopes, digging in our garden and excavating in the Lucy Lou Mine. Also give them a strong appreciation of the outdoors by facilitating hiking, archery, zip lining, rock climbing and even our challenge course. All training is provided and paid for. before schools arrive. Staff is required to work 5 full days a week (normally Mon.-Fri.). Chaperoning at night is a requirement as well.
We are looking for staff to join our team through June. The starting pay is $400/ week. The position amenities includes dorm style housing (rent free), a common room with two refrigerators, WiFi, satellite TV and kitchenette. All meals provided to students will be provided to naturalists. This is a residential camp position.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a key member of the LDAR team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Conduct routine leak inspections of industrial piping and tank components using a backpack-mounted organic vapor meter
Maintain a basic understanding of air quality rules and regulations
Maintain good public relations with clients
Report all environmental and safety issues to client and Regional Manager
Maintain all Company equipment in good condition
Remain current on all Montrose and client safety training and policies
Report all safety or compliance irregularities to the Client and to the Regional Manager
Maintains the company vehicle including cleaning, minor repairs, oil changes, etc., and document each activity in the Vehicle Maintenance Log
Reports all incidents that affect "normal routines," including, but not limited to accidents, injuries, equipment failures or breakage, scheduled activities and client relationships to the Regional Manager
Performs daily vehicle checks and required routine maintenance of field vehicles, and document using the Vehicle Maintenance Log if applicable
Properly uses the fuel card, and correctly and accurately reports odometer readings when fueling vehicle, if applicable
Maintains all field equipment in good condition
Reports all non-working equipment to the Regional Manager and prepares Incident Report
Represents the company in a professional manner, including personal habits, dress codes and communication skills
Attends all required Safety meetings

Spring Seasonal Naturalist Position
We are looking for educated, professional and energetic people for our academic naturalist seasonal position. Come to Orange County, CA and help us mold young minds and have fun too as we teach common core science standards to students. Our coverage in science goes over the field of life science, physical science and earth science. These include conducting experiments, using our telescopes, digging in our garden and excavating in the Lucy Lou Mine. Also give them a strong appreciation of the outdoors by facilitating hiking, archery, zip lining, rock climbing and even our challenge course. All training is provided and paid for. before schools arrive. Staff is required to work 5 full days a week (normally Mon.-Fri.). Chaperoning at night is a requirement as well.
We are looking for staff to join our team through June. The starting pay is $400/ week. The position amenities includes dorm style housing (rent free), a common room with two refrigerators, WiFi, satellite TV and kitchenette. All meals provided to students will be provided to naturalists. This is a residential camp position.
