Starting pay: $20/hr Essential functions · QA Techs are responsible for ensuring adherence to food quality and food safety rules and regulations as required by the quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements · Ensure all products being run conform to the product specifications as outlined in SAP by conducting analysis on raw deliveries, syrup batches, and treated water · Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials including packaging materials and determine status of materials (acceptable or not) · Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed · Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, increase yields, and eliminate out of specification or damaged product · Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor all aspects of finished product and packaging integrity · Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment application and operation is being maintained by performing secure seal, closure torque, and seaming checks. · Maintain laboratory cleanliness · Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by senior support Required Skills and Competencies · Strong computer skills · Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint · Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and results oriented · Organized, detail oriented, and adaptable to change Working Conditions: · Physical- Most if not all days in this position require continuous standing or walking along with a requirement to lift, handle, or carry material of moderate weight · Visual/ Sensory- This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time · Work environment- Nature of work and environment are repetitive however tasks may vary day to day · Mental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, and accuracy demands as well as similar stresses day to day.
