POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Metal Fabricator is responsible for executing, managing, and supervising all work assigned to their team. The Lead defines specific fabrication techniques and duties associated with the execution of the work. Monitors team labor hours. Responsible for quality and on-time delivery of all products by their team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for understanding and adhering to the labor budgets for the work that is carried out in the fabrication department. Accountable for executing to planned labor budgets. If the labor budgets are not sufficient, discussing why and suggesting alternate labor budgets that are signed off by the Shop Supervisor and Project Manager before the work is performed. Responsible for material take offs and providing purchase requests in a timely manner so as to not impact schedules. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to company policy for safe work practices.
