**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ AS, BS, MS degree, military education, certificate program, current student with less than 12 months from completion (with a cumulative GPA of a 2.0 or higher based on a 4.0 scale) OR High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment.

The purpose of the position is to provide and direct instrumentation and electrical (I/E) engineering support to the Ineos Pigments business in Ashtabula, OH. Utilizing previous experience and knowledge in the I/E discipline, this professional will perform 3 main roles:
Unit Engineer - To troubleshoot, analyze and implement solutions to maintain the safe and reliable manufacturing of titanium dioxide in a continuous just-in-time production environment.
Project Engineer - To design, procure, install and support the execution of routine and capital projects. This role includes managing 3rd Party Engineering and Construction contractors on executing projects from an I/E perspective.
Discipline Engineer - To work closely with the Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering Authorities to interpret and to present current industry standards and specifications to the site to maintain and to improve best site practices. This position will help update I/E documentation and promote the safe application of I/E requirements to personnel and to the manufacturing asset.
Responsibilities AND Accountabilities
* Design/specify, procure and support installation of all instrumentation and electrical equipment and systems including components that are both analog and discrete, electronic and pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical.
* Creating/updating documentation (computerized databases, overseeing CAD drawing activities).
* Control and safety-relief valves -- design requirements and maintenance assistance.
* Power distribution (< 69KV), switching, grounding and usage (including VFD and motors).
* Interface and communicate non-routine activities between operations and I/E technicians.
Education/Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
* Prior experience in Refining/Chemical/Petro- chemicals/Lifesciences industries is a plus.
Skills/Competencies
The successful candidate should have a minimum of a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 to 7 years of related experience in power electrical and process instrumentation and control. Experience with the technical design and support of petro-chemical or batch operations is required. Basic knowledge of distributed control systems and programmable logic controllers is required. Candidate must be able to support daily operations and perform short-term projects. The preferred candidate will have held a similar position that interfaced with operators, technicians, staff engineers, engineering contractors, vendor fieldengineers and sales representatives.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are essential to perform and communicate the day-to-day support, troubleshooting conclusions and status of projects.

Typical Working Conditions:
The Electrical Engineer divides his/her time between an indoor office environment at Oil City's two locations and in the manufacturing area of each facility. The office environment is typically temperature controlled and clean, with normal air contaminants, such as dust, typically found in an office environment. The manufacturing environment has regular exposure to loud and prolonged noise. Regular exposure to hot temperatures of 95º F to 110º F in the summer due to the combination of the actual outside temperature and heat from the processes inside the facility. Employees are also exposed to cold temperatures, which is dependent on the actual outside temperature. While in the manufacturing area, employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields and steel toed work shoes.
Hours:
There is one shift available that consists of eight-hour shifts. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. May require additional hours of work on occasion, as required.

Job Purpose
A Project Engineer is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects. They plan, schedule, predict, and manage all the technical tasks of their assigned project to ensure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.
Duties and Responsibilities
/ Review each project scope of work to identify key milestones, ensure completeness of documentation, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and to identify any potential challenges related to the project execution.
/ Review customer utility and facility drawings (if available) to assess and ensure the customer's preparation for furnace installation and/or rebuild.
/ Use mathematics, statistics, dynamics and other engineering disciplines for calculations of structural strength, thermal analysis and performance predictions.
/ Design, test and analyze industrial heat treating and accessory equipment for manufacture to standard and custom designs.
/ Perform analysis as required to insure meeting custom manufactured industrial heat-treating equipment performance and reliability requirements as well as relevant regulations.
/ Originate layouts, concepts, parameters, and designs for new furnaces and/or modifications to existing furnaces.
/ Communicate with vendors where engineering interchange is required to develop specifications for components and processes.
/ Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field service departments at SWC and across the SECO/WARWICK Group (SWG) as needed to ensure timely and efficient furnace/rebuild commissioning.
/ Identify and secure the required contracting services to perform the installation activities as required on a given project.
/ Develop proposal specifications (functional, reliability, cost and fabrication requirements) based on customer and project needs. Conduct technical feasibility studies.
/ Maintain clear communication with customers to ensure a positive experience through regular communications using both written (email, memos, SMS, etc.) and verbal (phone and conference calls, video conferencing, in person meetings, etc.).
/ Maintain project budget through careful management of project expenditures.
/ Identify opportunities for project execution process improvement across teams and SWG companies and report to them to responsible stakeholders.
/ Manage project scope by Identifying change orders and coordinating a response with SWC sales staff.
/ SWC works with an informal management structure, this requires that all staff must take personal responsibility for their own work, provide assistance to other personal when required and notify appropriate staff of any concerns they have in areas that are not their primary responsibility.
/ SWC operates in a truly international environment, with staff and customers from many different countries; all staff are required to be respectful of any cultural, religious or political differences that may exist.
/ Prepare professional quality presentations of design ideas and reports summarizing design efforts and recommendations, and will be responsible for design reviews and information documentation.
/ Occasional travel in the USA and Europe, India, China and other places (by air) may be required often outside normal business hours. Travel could be up to 20% of time.
