The Service Technician for PVA (Jiffy Lube) is a Lube Technician that ensures our customers are confident in the safety of their vehicle by evaluating the customers' needs and performing services as required. The Service Technician may work in various positions to meet the individual needs of the customer; therefore, they are thoroughly cross trained in house for all roles.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide impartial recommendations or options that are tailored specifically to guest's needs based on manufacturer recommendations and technicians' findings.
Work efficiently to service the customers in a timely fashion, prioritizing safety always.
Vacuum and sanitize interior of vehicle and clean windshield when vehicle enters.
Perform preventative maintenance such as oil and filter change, refill fluid levels, and inspecting and replacing lights, wiper blades, brakes, and tires following J Team Service Standards (JTSS).
Perform automotive maintenance of the engine, transmission, axles, steering and suspension, brakes, electrical, heating/air conditioning, tires, batteries, and spark plugs.
Perform multi-point Inspection of automotive vehicles to ensure compliance to emission standards and governmental regulations and maintain detailed records of vehicles inspected as needed.
Participate in regular on-site and e-learning training, and maintain compliance with Jiffy Lube safety requirements, OSHA, and state regulations.
Participate in marketing events and promotions.
Keep customer, inventory, and service records and participate in inventory stocking.
Perform housekeeping/minor building maintenance.
Promote customer loyalty by ensuring completion of quality workmanship, reviewing services completed with guest, confirming guest satisfaction, and encouraging return at recommended intervals.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Valid Driver's License strongly preferred.
State Motor Vehicle Inspector License preferred.
Proven face-to-face customer service or sales experience preferred.

Keen listening and reasoning skills to capture guests' product needs.
Confident in overcoming objections and not afraid of rejection.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or related fields preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in service, repair, or installation of propane systems or similar gas systems.
Experience working in residential, commercial, or industrial settings preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with propane tank systems, equipment, and safety codes.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
