Full-time Description The Helicopter Loading Truck Operator shall be responsible for efficiently and safely operating a batch truck to load helicopters with chemical products for aerial applications. The operator will work closely with the logistics coordinator, pilots, and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of scheduled tracts. This is a full-time year-round job. The compensation plan includes a weekly salary along with bonus. Requirements Responsibilities: Communicate with Logistics Coordinator/Turnkey and Pilot to schedule and plan daily tracts. Conduct pre and post-inspections on the batch truck and associated equipment. Possess a comprehensive understanding of all materials and their application methods. Maintain adequate levels of jet fuel and water to fulfill scheduled tracts. Keep a detailed record of all materials loaded onto the batch truck. Ensure all necessary inspections, maintenance, and loading are completed before the start of the day. Batch materials in an accurate, efficient, detailed, and safe manner. College: SoLAcc Department: Workforce & Economic Development Sub department: Corporate College Type of Appointment: Unclassified - Adjunct Salary: Commensurate with Experience Duties and Responsibilities: * Conducts theoretical and technical training classes for commercial vehicles, providing theory, simulation, and practical applications for classes in A and B Commercial Motor Vehicles. * Uses established training materials to present formal class training exercises and lab work to students. * Provides training in policy, procedures in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. * Uses established training materials to present training exercises and practice in preparing students to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle. * Provides hands-on training in advanced applications, training, and testing preparations in vehicle inspection, skill maneuvers, and road driving skills. * Maintaining office hours for student consultations. * Preparing and providing course syllabi and instructional materials to students. * Evaluating and reviewing students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. * Keeping appropriate records of testing and grading, as per college standards. * Utilizing technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, communicate with others and facilitate learning. * Maintaining student discipline through effective classroom management. * Attaining, maintaining and reviewing program certification requirements, as appropriate. * Fulfilling professional assignments in accordance with the South Louisiana Community College calendar and contractual obligations. * Partner with Business and Industry to promote the CDL program. Required Experience: * Clean MVR for past 5 plus years. * Minimum of 5 years verifiable driving experience in related fields * Current CDL License, Class A * Tanker Endorsement Preferred Education: * High School Diploma * Associate Degree Preferred Experience: * CDL Third Party Tester Certification Passing pre-employment criminal background and drug screen are required as a condition of employment.

Bulk Waste / Grapple truck driver needed for the Acadia Parish area. (2) positions open. Requires a minimum of a CDL-B license and a Medical DOT card. Must have previous commercial driving experience. Driver will be responsible for operating grapple to pickup roadside debris to load into a bulk waste truck. Full-time hours. Previous experience is a plus. Must be able to operate an automatic transmission vehicle (no restrictions on operating an automatic).
