Responsibilities:
About the Role:
As an Intermodal Equipment Operator (also known as a Terminal Operator), you'll play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You'll operate specialized equipment-such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders-to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our daily logistics operations. Your work ensures containers are handled accurately and safely, keeping freight moving on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety.
Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial environment preferred
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars
Valid driver's license
Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening

Correctly completes all inventory transactions in the ERP system.

Summary
Create, coordinate and complete shipments of goods between company and clients. Coordinate with off-site logistics locations, suppliers and vendors to meet deadlines and track all shipments. Process orders and ensure shipment schedules are met. May develop and maintain operational reports and complete shipments of goods between company and clients. May act as a point of contact for customer service. Ensures the completion, accuracy, and delivery of transactions for clients. May dispatch requests to transportation providers.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Performs daily activities for an assigned shift or within an assigned area or function.
* Adheres to specific warehouse work instructions for receiving, labeling, storing, shipping and value add services as required in accordance to DSV Air & Sea standard policies and procedures.
* Meets company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, quality, leadership, and customer service.
* Works with the supervisor, warehouse manager and freight forwarding teams to identify areas to improve/enhance overall service to the client.
* Unloads inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination. Efficiently stage, stack and load the merchandise in the appropriate areas
* Efficiently moves product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer. Ensures that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety polices.
* Loads/Unloads product correctly using the appropriate handling techniques. Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
* Verifies the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location. Counts freight with the driver and ensures all requirements are followed. Loads the trailer for safe transit and ensures the driver signs all required paperwork.
* Performs all Forklift activities as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
* Maintains and organized and orderly desk/office area.

Job Summary
The Staff, Event Logistics & Warehouse Operations, supports daily warehouse tasks and event logistics by helping with inventory, packing, loading, and delivering equipment and supplies for company-produced events. This role also assists with keeping the warehouse clean and safe. At company events, this role is directly involved in setup, execution, and teardown as well as supporting general onsite operations.
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt (overtime eligible) position reporting to the Supervisor, Warehouse Operations & Logistics. The primary work location is the CEM Warehouse in Bellwood, Illinois, with occasional work at event sites throughout Chicago.
The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented team player who is willing to learn new skills and work in a fast-paced environment. They should communicate clearly, follow instructions well, arrive prepared, and be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift and move equipment are important for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support warehouse projects, including completing inventories, preparing, picking, packing of various event equipment, supplies, and product, etc.; including but not limited to facility supplies, merchandise, uniforms, product, first aid/medical supplies, equipment and tools, etc.
Loading/unloading, delivery and receiving of equipment, product, and supplies at warehouses and event sites;
Support management of company fleet (cars, trucks, trailers, carts), ensuring fleet is prepared, delivered and staged for operation at event sites;
Support day-to-day warehouse facility operations and activities, including facility maintenance, security, health and safety compliance;
Support Signage and Branding manager with day-to-day operations, including maintaining physical signage and branding inventories, organizing signage/branding by event and type, ensuring signage assets are well-maintained and ready for deployment pre and post event, including but not limited to cleanliness and presentation quality, maintaining inventory, maintenance, and preparation of all items required for signage installation;
Promote improvements to internal controls and processes in the warehouse;
Assist in the implementation of CEM's sustainability practices and initiatives within warehouse facilities;
Assist with projects taking place within CEM warehouse facilities by various company departments;
Engage in event planning and recap meetings, as well as operations and logistics team meetings;
Support event site Distribution Crews with distribution of product, supplies, and equipment throughout event sites;
Support Equipment Distribution facility team with management of check-out/in processes for equipment, tools, and items;
Support event site operations crews, captains, and managers in build out and tear down of event sites;
Other duties as assigned
Compensation
$20.00 per hour starting rate;

Experience in forkliftoperation or a willingness to learn this skill is required.
Driver's License required. Experience or willingness to learn skills for operating small box trucks, pick-up trucks, trailers, and vans is necessary.
