The Machine Learning Engineer II will be a member of the Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in AV's MacCready Works division and support the development of a variety of innovative computer vision capabilities (object detection, classification, localization, and tracking) and other image/video analytics for defense and commercial applications. These development efforts require a range of skills and tools across traditional engineering, computer science, and mathematical disciplines including but not limited to data management, computer vision, machine learning, optimization, and deep convolutional neural networks. This position will span multiple stages of the development process including requirements gathering, algorithm design, prototyping, test and evaluation, and validation and verification testing. This specific role also involves on-site support for experimentation and fielded systems requiring a significant amount of extended travel, both domestic and international. Summary/Objective: The Yard Operator is responsible for ensuring raw materials are properly received, stored and loaded for production. Performs routine maintenance on plant equipment and ensures that the yard area is properly maintained and organized. Essential Functions: Ensure that the concrete plant and related equipment are operating properly at all times by inspecting the plant for greasing, checking oil fluid levels, adding grease and oil as required, and keeping plant and equipment clean and free of excess material. Maintain proper levels of aggregates and admixtures, including keeping the hoppers full of aggregates. Notify the Concrete Plant Manager of impending shortages in a timely manner. Take samples and perform tests as necessary and complete required documentation/reports. Inform Technical Services of any quality problems that need resolving. Keep equipment and plant site clean at all times by washing the outside of the plant and equipment whenever necessary, maintaining plant grounding, picking up trash and other items from grounds, and making sure that all equipment is in its proper place.
