Almac Group is currently seeking a Receiving Operator for our Souderton, PA location. The Receiving Operator will be responsible for carrying out all material handling activities required within the receiving area of the warehouse to aid in servicing the Production and Distribution departments. They will be responsible for the receipt of material into the Clinical Services warehouse and ensure that levels of customer service and cGMP compliance are maintained to the highest possible standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Unload trucks, segregate and re-stack all incoming components, labels, drug, job related materials, and non-job related materials within the ambient, refrigerated, and frozen areas of the warehouse.
Provide regular updates to the Receiving Operator Grade 3, Receiving Supervisor, and Warehouse Manager where appropriate regarding work allocation and project status.
Ensure all material is labelled, stored correctly and properly protected against damage or deterioration. All stock must be located properly with storage locations being accurately recorded on the relevant system
Assisting other areas within the Warehouse department as deemed necessary by the Receiving Supervisor.
Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year work experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience / Education:
1 year Warehouse/Receiving experience
1 year Pharmaceutical Warehouse/Receiving experience
Working in a cGMP environment

Your Role
The Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma's Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:
* Check chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size, and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions
* Accurately pull and stage materials from storage locations, ensuring order accuracy and stockroom organization

Stack and bundle finished products onto skids or wagons
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Requirements:
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
Able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficient in the use and reading of digital calipers

Ensure panels are stored, loaded, and shipped in the correct order; while minimizing risk of injury to personnel or damage to the panels. Our foremost priority is the absolute safety of everyone involved. Each person must do their part in the team effort to promote practices, policies and equipment that enable a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Make sure there is dunnage
Set up the rows you are going to use
Hook up cables to panels
Unhook cables from panels
Make sure panels are set straight and level with proper dunnage placement
Let crane operator know which way to move the panels
Each morning check oil, gas, tires, etc. on truck
Load trucks as soon as the load tickets are given to them
Load trailers for the first round the next day
Assist crane driver in locating panels
Write down all panel locations (moves, trailers the loads went on, where they are yarded and cast numbers)
Pick dunnage up and maintain clean work environment
Check panels for any damage or for tags
Make sure dunnage is correct when loading and yarding panels
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Truck driving experience
Other Required Qualifications
Good people skills
Be able to read a tape measure
Be able to read piece drawings and yard location lists
Be able to operate necessary yard equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Understand dunnage placement procedures
