As a freight receiver, they expedite and route movement of cargo and freight shipments, ingoing and outgoing via airline, train, and trucking terminals, and shipping ports. They would take orders from clients and organize pickup of freight and cargo for transport to the loading platform. It is also their job to prepare and examine bills to determine charges of shipping and tariffs. They should also be good at speaking to clients to convey information effectively and be customer service oriented.
Stagehands are skilled employees who work in the television, film, or theatre to assist other crew members set up the sound, lighting, and other equipment as well as helping performers change into their costumes.
