The Merrick Medical Center (MMC) Director of Operations is responsible for the planning, provision, and allocation of functional resources necessary to carry out the day-to-day operations of the following departments: maintenance, guest services, materials management, dietary services, pharmacy, biomed, community wellness and information technology. Responsible for the emergency preparedness efforts of the medical center and serves as the Compliance Officer. Responsible for the proper planning and allocation of resources under their control to include the preparation and monitoring of the annual operating budget and objectives consistent with Merrick Medical Center's (MMC) strategic plan. All duties are performed consistent with MMC's standards and behaviors.
The Director of Operations principle duties and responsibilities include:
Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
Serves as service excellence champion including the implementation, competencies, and hardwiring of service excellence initiatives such as patient experience, employee advisory committee (EAC) and patient family advisory committee (PFAC).
Directs the development and execution of divisional strategies to ensure full alignment with the Medical Center's overarching goals, while maintaining robust feedback loops to monitor performance trends and critical activities.
Ensures consistent leadership among division managers and ensures unification of departments under their supervision. Promotes effective communication, collaboration, quality, and efficiency between departments and managers throughout the medical center.
Provides leadership and oversight into service line growth and development in each department under their supervision.
Oversees the departmental budgetary procedure for each department under their supervision to ensure proper operational and capital planning; appropriate and efficient use of resources; and consistent compliance with budgetary and fiscal controls.
Responsible for the overall provider satisfaction results in each department under the Director's supervision. Works with and through others to get positive organizational results.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have served in a leadership role with progressive responsibility for a minimum of five (5) years in a healthcare setting. Must have a bachelor's degree in business administration or other directly related field of study, master's degree is preferred. Must have strong leadership and operational experience.

The Organization
Merrick Medical Center-Bryan Health, located in Central City, Nebraska, is a recognized leader in providing a continuum of healthcare to over 10,000 rural residents in Merrick and nearby surrounding counties in Central Nebraska for over sixty years. Qualification Education and/or Experience Possession of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
2 years or more experience preferably in a long term care facility.

**Summary**
Under general direction, the Operations Support performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers from the retail office, customer service, vehicle maintenance, equipment and facility maintenance work, and fertilizer blending.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities; loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers; operating equipment to blend fertilizer; monitoring product application by calculating amounts, calibrating equipment, controlling application rates, and cleaning and storing equipment after application process; receiving and unloading product and performing warehouse inventory and storage functions. Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant Trainee is enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop the confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver that provides personal care to clients. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the trainee, in partnership with a preceptor, provides holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner. The trainee is required to work within the role of a non-certified nursing assistant. The trainee is enrolled in a formal nursing assistant program and is required to fulfill all training requirements in the designated timeframe. The Trainee is not allowed to perform any service(s) unless they have been trained and found to be proficient by the instructor. The program is delivered in hybrid format which includes an online curriculum and hands on skills development. Trainees learn the skills and processes needed to provide care and assistance to clients. At completion of the training program, participants will be prepared to take state knowledge and skills exams to obtain the Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) or other state certification designation.
While in the Nursing Assistant Training Program, the trainee serves as a member of the nursing team and will be held accountable to know and follow location-specific standards for infection prevention and control, personal protective equipment use, safety, and privacy. The trainee demonstrates the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. This role requires an ability to do detailed work correctly, handle stress, demonstrate critical thinking, and prioritize responsibilities. The trainee works with clients and their families to ensure their physical, cognitive, spiritual, emotional, and social needs are met. The trainee delivers age-appropriate care to meet the physical, psychological, and restorative needs of the client as defined in the care plan.
The trainee assists the care team and documents client care when appropriate. The trainee communicates changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse. The trainee assists with basic health care needs and activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, obtaining vital signs, providing psychosocial support, and delivering other personal care as assigned. The trainee assists the client in transferring, repositioning, range of motion exercises, and walking using appropriate transfer techniques and equipment. The trainee assists clients with meals and snacks and provides water and nutritional supplements as appropriate. The trainee assists with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned within non-certified nursing assistant role.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required within four months of employment.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor. Vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license. Must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.
