The Executive Counsel - Research provides legal leadership and strategic legal advice related to GE HealthCare research, product development and collaboration activities. Acting as a strategic business partner, this leader is expected to provide advice and legal counsel to the Global Research and Development teams (including Medical and Clinical Affairs), as well as company business segment and technology teams on legal issues related to GE HealthCare sponsored and investigator-initiated research and collaboration proposals and engagements.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Actively partner with Global Research and Development teams and business segment and technology teams, continually working to identify and structure strategic research and collaboration opportunities
* Promote the strategic alignment of all proposed research and collaboration projects with the relevant product technology roadmap and identified strategic research needs
* Lead and develop the company's research and collaboration legal/compliance practice group
* Drive cross-business, global and regional engagement, involvement and interaction among legal and compliance colleagues to maximize effectiveness of the global legal/compliance team
* Consult with Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, senior business segment and technology/engineering leaders on legal and compliance issues surrounding company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research and collaboration proposals and engagements
* Structure, draft, and negotiate complex research and collaboration arrangements and oversee outside counsel (as necessary)
* Advise on legal and compliance matters including Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Fraud and Abuse, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act / Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Regulatory, Intellectual Property, Privacy and Data Protection, Antitrust and other issues that arise in the research and collaboration context
* Take a leading role on Research topics with respect to government relations activities, trade associations and regulatory agency responses
* Provide leadership in the research and collaboration strategic needs assessment and approval processes
* Collaborate with the compliance organization to detect, assess and mitigate research and collaboration compliance risks; promote a culture of continuous improvement; support compliance investigations and research and collaboration compliance operating mechanisms.
* Work across GE HealthCare to develop and deploy appropriate updates and training
Qualifications
1. JD (or equivalent) with active bar membership
2. Minimum of 12 years of legal work experience, with at least 7 years of healthcare experience at a large law firm, corporate legal department, government agency or research organization, including previous experience drafting and negotiating research agreements
3. Well-versed in GCP principles, regulations for the protection of human subjects and other research regulations
4. Demonstrable experience operationalizing policies, helping enforce research compliance and driving culture change
5. Experience in advising the healthcare industry and previous exposure to medical industry regulations (health authority/regulatory, Medicare/Medicaid Anti-Kickback, Anti-Bribery, Privacy)
6. Previous experience in identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively and ability to make on-the-spot risk calls
7. Proven global team leadership experience and ability to function as a senior member of a management team
8. Strong executive presence with outstanding interpersonal and teaming skills; able to work effectively at all levels of the organization
9. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate research and collaboration issues in an easy-to-understand manner; strong working knowledge of English.
10. Proven experience managing teams of direct and/or indirect reports
11. Highest level of ethics and integrity

**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Partner with GE HealthCare people leaders to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies that align with the overall business goals and objectives.
+ Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to identify and attract top talent.
+ Conduct structured interviews that are fair, unbiased, and effective, assessing candidates' skills, experience, and fit for the role/the team/the company.
+ Work with hiring managers and business leaders to develop and implement proactive talent acquisition strategies, including succession planning, internal mobility, and diversity and inclusion.
+ Support Talent Acquisition projects from start to finish, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
+ Stay informed of the latest trends and developments in the talent market to provide actionable insights to GE HealthCare business leaders.
**Required Qualifications:**
SkillBridge Eligible (Active Duty)
+ 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related field.
+ Strong understanding of the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations.
+ Ability to assess candidates' fit for the role/the team/the company based on their skills, experience, and cultural fit.
+ Ability to work effectively with hiring managers and business leaders to understand their needs and develop and implement talent acquisition strategies.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
+ Strong preference for recruiting in high volume work.

Solutions Architect - Advanced Visualization & Insights (Cambridge, MA)
The focus of this role is Advanced Visualization pre-sales solution consulting to offer strong design of solution & service architecture for each customer's environment.
Your role:
Provide leadership in the selling effort to accurately estimate services & solutions offerings in the market. Solutions can be comprised of Philips products, systems, software along with implementation services, maintenance services and other value-added offerings.
Assess client's business, clinical and technical needs, business goals, performance, and strategies as they pertain to our solution offerings and execute on complex data-driven problem solving.
Prepare content and present the Solution and Services capability of the Philips offering to prospective clients at all levels within the client organization (CxO, MD, Clinician, IT).
Independently, or as a member of a service team, scope implementation, integration and consulting services through an accurate task analysis and work effort estimate. Assure that complete Statement of Work documents are available, accurate and associated quote meets Philips business standards related to financial transparency.
Collaborate with sales representative to describe, defend, and justify recommended levels of services. Facilitate between different SME (subject matter experts) and sales to come to a strong solution & services architecture (with optimal efforts).
Serve as a key member of the implementation project and/or support team; fostering collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills, and expertise. Drive continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedback.
You're the right fit if:
You've acquired 5+ years of proven experience as a key techincal resource, preferably in healthcare, leading the installation of solutions in customer environments.
Your skills include:
Demonstrated ability to influence and consult around all key technical decisions during project delivery or system updates.
Working knowledge of Windows Server, VMWare, Networking, AD, SSL, IT Troubleshooting, Windows Workstation, Enterprise and Local File Storage Systems, System Backups, High Resolution Image Acquisition, and Image Quality Analysis.
Preferably have knowledge in system integration/installation and pathology workflow integration, including the communication standards used in the industry (XML, HL7, DICOM).
Knowledge of Hyper-V and experience with SAAS and Cloud environments is a plus.
You have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Health Science, Business, Clinical Practice, or equivalent.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $126,000 to $201,600.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
