The Wash & Vacuum Associate cleans assigned vehicles prior to detail and auction. What are the day-to-day responsibilities? * Cleaning out the interior of vehicles by removing any debris and trash from ashtrays, console, dashboard, door panels, seats, as well as trunk and engine compartments. * Removing license plates and stickers, and disassembling spare tires in trunk. * Washing vehicles using a high-pressure washer and/or automatic car wash equipment. * Cleaning doorjambs, sills, interior panels, wheels, tires, hub caps and/or wheel covers, wheel wells, moldings, bumpers, head and taillights, exterior panels, trunk, hood, and interior and exterior windows. * Vacuuming interior, scrub, shampoo and spot clean carpet and upholstery. The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as it relate to the maintenance and service of vehicles. The Hub Operations Lead is responsible for the day to day operations and workflow of all HUB functions to include execution of store Hub order fulfillment, Inventory control and all associated processes. Depending on the size and scope of the HUB operations, some HUB Operations Leads will lead 1 or more team members assigned to HUB operations. These roles are HUB Inventory Specialist and HUB drivers. The individual in this role should have good knowledge of store systems, basic parts knowledge, good interpersonal skills and prior experience leading other Team Members. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and requires the ability to network with nearby stores, Hubs, pdq and external suppliers for order fulfillment. What are the day-to-day responsibilities? * Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty. * Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication. * Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the Customer. * Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles. * Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order. * Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as "special tools." * Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate. * Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty How will I know if I am successful? * The performance of a Senior Technician is measured by achieving: * Targeted production * Targeted sales * Targeted Customer Satisfaction Index What are the requirements for this job * High School diploma or equivalent * 2+ years experience as an automotive technician * Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs) * Attention to detail * Organization and follow-up skills * Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record What are the opportunities for career growth? * Our Associates have many choices for career growth and development after success in a Service Technician role.
