GENERAL PURPOSE\:
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company best practice standards as outlined in all work centers, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Retail Associate is expected to be engaged in these tasks as assigned during all working hours, and will be expected to perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as business needs require. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do.
Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone. Maintains clutter free, clear egress to emergency exits. Immediately corrects or reports any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.
Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times. Recognizes fellow Associates using Company recognition programs.
Assists Customers in any way necessary - is register-trained, assists Customers with merchandise, and answers Customer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner. Greets all Customers by making eye contact, smiling and saying “hello” throughout the Store as well as saying “thank you” with every register transaction.
Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers at all times. Responds to Customer Service calls immediately. Handles all Customer issues in a courteous and helpful way, calling a member of the Store Leadership when needed.
Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
Maintains a professional appearance, and adheres to the Company dress code at all times.
Performs daily assigned sizing and recovery per company best practice to ensure a neat, clean and organized store that is well-maintained and efficiently merchandised to standards.
Expedites newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a sense of urgency, merchandising all items per company best practice to the monthly presentation guidelines and maintaining merchandise/brand name familiarity within departments to assist Customers.
Understands the Loss Prevention Awareness program, the Shortage Highway, the Store Protection Specialist (SPS) position (where applicable), and merchandise protection standards.
As a representative of Ross Inc., demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with Associates and Customers. Safeguards confidential information, cash and credit card information, and merchandise.
Follows all Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) policies, including the identification of MOS merchandise, proper processing of each piece and the notification of Store Leadership to review and approve all disposals.
Follows all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card and refund transactions, voids and offline procedures. Maintains a high level of awareness and accuracy when handling bankable tenders.

The Energy Resources, Transportation, and Water Resources Departments are excited to offer a hiring bonus for individuals newly hired as a Field Worker I. New Field Workers may be eligible for a $2,500 incentive at the conclusion of Initial City Probation. A Field Worker I learns to perform and performs the full scope of duties of a Field Worker II through on-the-job training involving a variety of general manual labor and equipment-assisted construction and maintenance tasks. Incumbents learn to operate basic construction equipment with limited complexity and may also operate motor vehicles. About the Position:
A Pro Tem Judge presides over misdemeanor and civil traffic cases filed with the Mesa Municipal Court. The incumbent is responsible for applying relevant Supreme Court Rules, state statutes, City ordinances, and case law when presiding over trials to the court, trials to a jury, pre-trial conferences, arraignments, motions, and other hearings. A Pro Tem Judge is also responsible for imposing sentences commensurate to the offense and within the parameters allowed by law. Duties include determining the conditions, which if met, will allow the defendant's release from police custody. The incumbent is expected to preside over cases in any division of the Mesa Municipal Court in any type of court hearing. A Pro Tem Judge may not represent clients on cases pending in the Mesa Municipal Court. Pro Tem Judges are appointed by the Presiding City Magistrate to a specified term.
Minimum Qualifications Required. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to extensive (5+ years) experience as a lawyer, judge, or hearing officer in criminal or traffic cases, and graduation from an accredited school of law.
Special Requirements. Admission to the Arizona State Bar Association. For this position, an individual receiving a conditional offer of employment from the City of Mesa must pass a background investigation through the City of Mesa Police Department, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, and Federal Bureau of Investigation prior to commencing employment with the City of Mesa.

Experience working with fossil preparation and natural history specimens, including paleontological, biological, and geological museum collections. Performs skilled electrician work to install, alter, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade. Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $35.58/hour or $74,006.40/annually.

Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
* Completion of a recognized four year electrical apprenticeship, or five (5) years of experience as a skilled electrician.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements:
* Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires that out-of-state driver's licenses must be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to the State of Arizona. Note: A Graduated Driver's License is considered restricted.
* Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
