REPORTS TO: Head Coach
Nichols College, a member of the NCAA Division III, located in Dudley, MA (Central MA) invites applications for a Graduate Assistant position with the field hockey program. The position begins August 2025. A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required. Candidates would need to apply to the Nichols College Graduate Program. This position also includes a stipend.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in meeting recruitment goals established by the Division of Athletics and Head Coach.
Assist the Head Coach in planning and executing practices.
Assist in game and practice day set-up.
Attend all practices and games.
Support current student-athlete academic success.
Manage social media platforms.
Serve as the travel coordinator (meals and travel operations).
Assist with all areas of video operations.
Engage with Athletic Communications staff for events, game days, etc.
Help with equipment/uniform inventory, distribution, and collection.
Assist with fundraising and alumni outreach.
Supervise team managers.
Attain driving certification with the College.
Be an active member of the Division of Athletics (attend meetings, scheduled campus events, etc.).
Assist with game management duties out of season.
Work at the fitness room desk while in and out of season, 1-2 days a week.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree preferred with experience in collegiate athletics.
Genuine understanding and commitment to NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletics philosophy.
Solid knowledge and technical skills for the sport of field hockey.
Must have strong leadership and people skills, plus an ability to work with all constituencies of the campus.
Able to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Nichols College.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, able to handle a multi-task work environment.
Computer proficiency.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Light lifting.
Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

The 8-credit course is designed to enhance law students' skills development with a social justice lawyering experience. Responsibilities:
The new hire will be responsible for teaching one section of the LSSC course (14-16 students), which may include teaching in our evening FlexJD program, a remote, partially asynchronous program. In addition to teaching one section of LSSC, the Fellow may work with the Program Director to develop teaching materials for the LSSC program. While scholarship is not a requirement of the position, the Fellow may choose to explore scholarship opportunities. Mentoring for teaching and scholarship will be provided.
Although this is a one-year appointment, there is the possibility of extending the position for a second year, contingent upon satisfactory performance and program needs. If reappointed for a second-year term, the Fellow will be responsible for teaching two sections of the LSSC course (a total of 28-32 students).
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a JD from an accredited institution by the appointment start date (e.g. JD, LLB or foreign equivalent). Candidates must also have a minimum of two years of legal experience in the U.S., along with excellent written and oral communications skills and a demonstrated commitment to social justice.

* Plan and facilitate events for students and families (e.g., orientation sessions, academic workshops, information nights) that will support their enrollment, transition, and long-term success in Early College programs.
* Serve as the Point of contact for students and families involved in the Early College program, providing guidance, addressing concerns, and connecting them with necessary resources.
* Recruitment and Awareness:
* Conduct Outreach to middle schools and grade nine and ten students to build Early College awareness and promote available opportunities, focusing on equitable access for all interested and eligible students.
? Qualifications
Required:
* Proven experience in program coordination, project management, or educational administration.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students, parents, faculty, and administrators.
* Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Public Administration, or a related field.
Preferred:
* Experience working with Early College programs.
* Knowledge of Massachusetts public school and higher education systems.

Work year 200 days (mirror teacher school year with 3 additional weeks
