Measures the paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinders according to thickness of paper stock. Starts press, examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper, and registration, and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density. Removes and cleans plate and cylinders. Monitors the production during run quality, maintaining all required samples. Must work well with others in a team environment. Recording of time and production for job costing. Ability to meet daily production standards. Performs all required preventative maintenance in accordance to production schedule. Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and notify appropriate personnel of any quality defects. Ensure parts are properly stacked or packed for movement or shipment. Must perform daily start-up safety checks prior to machine operation. Must comply with all safety rules and policies. Ensure that any potential safety hazard is reported to management immediately.
