Job Summary
The Medication Assistant (MA) serves as caregiver who provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse. Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per plan of care. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psycho-social support and other personal care to assigned resident. Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within their scope of practice as defined by state regulations. Documents the outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary. Communicates changing condition, medication follow-up and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually based on state requirements. Maintains all department specific required certifications. When applicable, may need a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Iowa: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained.
Minnesota: Must have nursing assistant certification, have completed the 75-hour course and be registered with the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. Successful completion of a state-approved Trained Medication Assistant course.
North Dakota: Require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing. CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide/Assistant course once CNA certification is obtained. If working in an Assisted Living or Basic Care facility, Medication Assistant I certification required. If working in a skilled nursing facility, Medication Assistant II certification is required.
South Dakota: Must successfully complete the state approved Certified Medication Aide (CMA) course. CMA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing.

A Brief Overview
Assists the physician and nursing staff both in the Operating Room and Clinic with procedures and patient care as needed.
What you will do
Prepares the Operating Room for surgical procedures in a timely fashion. This may include, not be limited to: organizing equipment and needed instruments; setting up quickly and accurately for emergency cases; assuring proper and adequate equipment for all cases.
Assists the surgeon as the first or second scrub person during surgical procedures. Maintains a sterile field at all times in the procedure area. Maintains efficiency in handling surgical instruments at physician's request. Verifies specimens with surgeons and nurses.
Assists the circulating nurse to account for all instruments, needles, and sponges involved with the surgical procedure.
Achieves and maintains working knowledge of all OR machinery and equipment used on the sterile field (i.e., lasers, scope equipment, and electric and nitrogen motors).
Receives and verifies correct implants for all surgical procedures (i.e., grafts, orthopedic hardware, allograft etc.).
Assists with on-the-job training and orientation of new staff and students.
Assists in transporting of patients to the O.R. when necessary.
Performs decontamination, assembly and sterilization, according to Infection Control and established QA monitoring guidelines as demonstrated by annual competency review.
Operates sterilization equipment which includes: steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaner, washer/sterilizer, and automated cart washer. Operates equipment according to manufacturer operational directions and in a manner that ensures the safety of the operator as demonstrated by annual competency review.
Utilizes desktop and laptop computers and handheld PDA for instrument decontamination, assembly and tracking functions.

Salary Range: $17 Hourly including premium pay
Part-Time available with flexible scheduling. Hours of operation for this team are Mondays and Fridays 6:00am to 5:30pm.
Essential Functions:
Execute all functions of the count including preparation of the drop, collecting all currency boxes, transporting to the count room, opening of the boxes, verification of count, and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals.
Operate money counting machines, count currency, and assemble paperwork
Must be accountable and dependable to a high degree, while also being detail orientated to ensure all records and reports are accurate
Adhere to all Count policies and procedures
Attend mandatory company meetings and trainings
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods of the time with frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 40lbs

A Brief Overview
Accountable for providing medical social casework to a wide array of patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. The main focus of the Social Worker is to assist in meeting the psychosocial/continuum of care needs of the patient and family to ensure optimum functioning. In addition to direct care services, the Social Worker shall have duties of consultation, education, policy and program planning, performance improvement tasks, advocacy and liaison with the community. Each social worker has a "home" department(s) they primarily work out of but will also be cross-trained to other areas to assist colleagues as needed.
What you will do
Interviews patient and family members to obtain information about home environment, family systems, health history, and the patient's personality traits.
Evaluates data gathered in terms of the medical plan of treatment, available social service programs, financial counseling, and plan a pertinent therapy program that will provide maximum benefits and safety for each patient.
Assists patients and families to understand, accept, and follow medical recommendations with emphasis on assisting patients to be compliant with clinical care plan.
Performs a variety of services such as advising on social problems, arranging for transportation to clinic appointments and treatments as appropriate, arranging for durable medical equipment as appropriate, and alleviation of patient/family anxieties and fears.
Utilizes resources to assist patient to resume life in the community while learning to live with a chronic illness.
Prepares and updates records for each patient; prepare required documentation of each case; maintain records and reports as required.
Serves as the social work representative on multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.
Works collaboratively with clinical coordinators, physicians, and other members of the care team in providing coordinated services, which facilitates continuity of care for the patient.
Provides education to families regarding advance directives and assists patients and families with questions regarding advance directives for healthcare.

The Esports Head Coach oversees the recruitment, training, and development of the university's Esports program. This position is responsible for building a competitive, educationally supportive program that aligns with the University of Sioux Falls' mission and values. The coach provides leadership, organization, and supervision across all aspects of a growing, competitive Esports program.
Major Responsibilities
Coach and mentor students in one or more esports titles (e.g., League of Legends, Rocket League, Valorant, Overwatch), focusing on skill development, teamwork, and strategy.
Plan and lead practices, training, and competitions; oversee travel and scheduling.
Manage equipment needs in coordination with IT; support livestreaming and content creation.
Organize team participation in local, regional, and national competitions.
Organize and host on-campus or virtual tournaments to engage students.
Partner with Marketing and Admissions to promote the program and attract current and prospective students.
Work cooperatively with university departments as needed for a successful esports program (IT, HR, etc.).
Monitor team members' academic progress and eligibility; connect students with support services as needed.
Maintain records of player participation, competition outcomes, and program metrics.
Enforce team rules, safety standards, and university/league policies.
Stay current on esports trends, strategies, and league updates.
Assist with esports-related scholarship processes (if applicable).
