• Accomplish constant multitasking between phlebotomy, reception and lab on a daily basis while providing outstanding customer communication skills.
• Create and record QC's, levy-Jennings, and validation charts/reports.
• Conduct DNA, RNA, and protein extraction and quantification using spectrophotometer and gel electrophoresis.
• Receive specimens daily and measure volume, place specimens in Centra fuse to spin and find buffy coats.
• Perform quality assurance including testing ISO standards on all equipment and ensuring that all export equipment meet aesthetic standards.
• Rotate through routine hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, body fluids, differentials, bone marrows and patient/specimen log in.

Hemodialysis technician example responsibilities.

• Maintain national certification as CCHT and attain CE's as required.
• Monitor patients receiving hemodialysis, analyze individual patient response to treatment, and change plan of care accordingly.
• Provide all facets of direct care to patients receiving dialysis treatments including bandaging and administering normal saline and heparin.
• Start dialysis by inserting needles into patient's site or catheter and connecting to machines.
• Water check, setting up machines, monitoring blood pressures, performing CPR, making bicarb/acid.
