There are openings to work in the Materials Lab and on roadway construction projects . In the Materials Lab, the Technician will perform construction material testing in the laboratory and on construction sites and ensure materials adhere to plans, standards and regulations. The positions assigned to construction projects will perform inspections of roadway construction sites, investigate existing roads and bridges and complete field and laboratory testing to assist higher-level engineering staff.
Each snow season Department employees that are required(as defined by their job description) to work snow will receive a $6 per hour increase when they report for emergency snow removal services.
The starting salary for this position will be between $21.49 - $25.79 per hour and will be based on experience and qualifications. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
