About The Position: InteriorDesigner
· Develops design concepts, narratives, drawings, and 3D renderings as needed to effectively convey design intent to clients for our various types of housing projects.
· Leads design-focused visioning sessions and presentations to clients, community groups, etc.
· Actively collaborates with and coordinates the work of consultants and knowledge resources to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, integrated, and support the design concept and performance goals of the project. Specifically, coordinates with architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, engineers, furniture dealers, and other consultant team members to facilitate the successful integration of their scope with our efforts, project budgets, and timelines.
·Leads projects' technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination, and quality control efforts during all phases of project work, in close collaboration with Senior Designer and/or Principal-In-Charge.
· Manages and develops construction documents with limited oversight, while fostering team building and mentoring less-experienced colleagues.
· Maintains contact with the team during all project phases, participating in client and owner presentations as required to progress project decisions.
· Oversees construction administration duties (e.g. RFI's, ASI's, change orders, etc.). Reviews shop drawings, material samples, and product data for conformance with design.
· In Charge of the development of the FFE package from concept, thru specification, into bid, and ultimately with on-site punch
About You
Bachelor's or Master's degree in interiordesign from an accredited university is required
Actively pursuing or has achieved NCIDQ accreditation and licensure
· 10-15 years of experience in the InteriorDesign field
· Effective communication and presentation skills, while being a creative and innovative thinker.
Strong design leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise others
· Extensive design portfolio, with Senior Living, Multi-family, Hospitality, or Affordable Housing experience. Portfolio should demonstrate:
· Strength in selection of design elements such as materiality, lighting, furnishings, and rendering in Enscape, SketchUp, and Photoshop
· Experience self-managing a mid-size project from Schematic Design through Construction Administration
· Well-Rounded knowledge and practice in design and documentation software, particularly Revit, including developing design details and millwork design
· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and 3D / presentation software programs encouraged
· Understands transition between conceptual development and practical detailing
· Skill in building strong relationships with clients and consultants

The projected base salary for this full-time position is $85,000-$115,000. Hord Coplan Macht's salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, as well as the individual's education, experience, and skillsets. Your role in our success:
This is an advanced technical position in the Engineering Department. Supports distribution operations in regulatory affairs and facility design. Evaluates, plans, and designs major construction projects. Secures regulatory approvals to complete project installations. Facilitates project development in conjunction with District Operations and Sales & Marketing, including managing and prioritizing project design schedules. Coordinates with GIS to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of the gas distribution system.
What you'll be working on…
Assist the Engineering Manager - Planning & Design on various design projects, prioritize project schedules and staff assignments.
Prepares, reviews, and approves distribution system project Tie-in, Gas Up, Gas Out procedures on projects.
Represents the Department at meetings with regulatory and permitting agencies.
Design distribution system projects including expansion, renewals, reinforcing and relocation projects.
Prepares and submits design drawing and permit applications for new services and retirement of existing services.
Prepares base maps using GPS equipment to locate existing field conditions.
Secure permits, right-of-ways and other regulatory permits.
Reviews, comments, and approves project drawings prior to release to Field Coordinators and permitting agencies.
Create and review project construction folders for completeness prior to release to Field Coordinators.
Complete essential documentation for projects.
Act as a department liaison with District Operations and Energy Services / Marketing Division
Ensures compliance with the Department CAD standards and templates.
Assist in distribution system operations
Assist in the design of Meter and Regulator Stations
Coordination with GIS on completed construction projects
Gathers field information and prepares easement agreements, easement drawings, and descriptions
Assists with other duties as assigned
Knowledge of, supports and participates in the Company's Brand DNA, Service Excellence Standards and the Shield Safety Program.

Associate's degree
3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs and facilities design

Knowledge of materials, software, and equipment used for drafting, surveying, construction, locating, and electronic mapping including GPS

Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Alarm Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of fire alarm and mass notification systems, applicable codes and standards (NFPA, IBC, etc.), and hold a NICET Level III or IV in Fire Alarm Systems. This role involves designing, evaluating, and consulting on fire alarm systems for various project types and client needs.
Responsibilities
Perform fire alarm and mass notification system consulting and design, including system layout, equipment, device and appliance placement, riser diagrams, sequence of operations, battery and voltage drop calculations, and creation of project specifications.
Create fire alarm shop drawings and review shop drawing submittal packages produced by installation contractors.
Conduct site assessments and field surveys to evaluate existing fire alarm installations.
Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings for code compliance.
Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and specifications in accordance with project requirements.
Conduct testing and commissioning activities including developing test plans, witnessing testing and providing test reports.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and AHJs.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and assist with NICET training as needed.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant codes (e.g., NFPA 72, NFPA 70, IBC) and emerging technologies.
Interface with clients to communicate findings, recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems is required.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in fire alarm consulting, design, or inspection.
Strong understanding of fire protection engineering principles and life safety codes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, fire protection, or a related field preferred but not required with commensurate experience.
