Job Title: Interior Designer III Salary: Based on experience and other relevant factors. Respond to Requests for Information (RFI's) generated during the construction period for clarification of requirements and/or resolution of discrepancies discovered. Participate in pre-final and final construction inspections. Verify accuracy of red-lined drawings produced by the Construction Contractor. Assist client Project Managers as needed during all phases of facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance activities. Maintain orderly working files for reference as needed. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from an institution accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) is preferred Having or intent to obtain NCIDQ Certification is a plus Three or more years' experience is preferred Experience in interior design conforming to International Building Code and ADA standards is a plus Ability to manage projects throughout the planning, design, and construction document phases, performing calculations, design drafting, reviewing of construction submittals, responding to requests for information, etc., is a plus Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members in various ways that contribute to successful completion of design deliverables Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Autodesk and Bentley Microstation CAD software is a plus Must have a valid motor vehicle driver's license and be insurable for motor vehicle operation. + This position is responsible for creating designs in 2D or 3D for the clients Transmission and Distribution electrical Substations and supporting clients design criteria and standardization efforts. + The Designer will produce engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or Autodesk Map 3D [P4A], and produce specifications and material requirements for substation projects with an emphasis on safety, quality, scheduling, and costs. + To further detail, the job responsibilities include the creation/modification of scaled 2D drawings or 3D models designing the physical aspects of electrical substations, including but not limited to Foundation Layouts, Grounding Layouts, Conduit Layouts, Switchgear Assembly Layouts, Control Buildings, Electrical Bus Design, etc. + The Designer will specify and order material for electrical substation design packages, including stock, non-stock, and shop fabricated material. The Designer will transmit drawing packages and supporting specifications using the Transmission Engineering job transmittal program. + The Designer will coordinate and communicate with engineers and other departments associated with electrical Substation Design. + The Designer will interact with manufacturers, vendors, and client committee members to resolve equipment and material issues. The Designer must provide support to the OPCO's Substation Construction, Field Services, Project Management and Substation Maintenance departments. + This position will require site visits for projects, including pre-construction meetings, during construction and post-construction.
