Job Summary

Position Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist will serve as the main conduit for shipping and receiving materials at Abeona Therapeutics. This role will support all departments at Abeona, most notably, Manufacturing. The Inventory Control Specialist will ensure adequate inventory of all supplies (several hundred different SKUs) in both the controlled inventory warehouse supporting Manufacturing & Quality Control as well as the non-controlled stockroom supporting all other departments. The Inventory Control Specialist will be accepting supplies shipments, lifting, unboxing, and storing several items daily and cooperating with the quality units on the timely release of materials. The Inventory Control Specialist will also serve as an option as assigned by the Supervisor, for shipping samples to the appropriate outside entity in accordance with state and federal regulations and local standard operating procedures.
Following a training period conducted during first shift hours, this position will work on second shift with a starting time between 12:00 and 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday (exact hours may be determined based on company need). The position is a five day per week, onsite role. Some weekend work may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organize and receive materials utilizing the NetSuite ERP system daily as it relates to materials for Manufacturing, Quality Control, or other supporting departments.
Daily and routine restocking of approved cleaning supplies and PPE for efficient contract cleaning of the GMP areas.
Review orders to be picked and brought up to the manufacturing staging area on a daily basis, communicating and out of stock items to the Inventory Supervisor and Supply Chain Management.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of forecasted volumes for controlled and non-controlled inventory.
Maintain consistent lines of communication with the Inventory Supervisor and Buyer(s) to ensure adequate stocking levels are maintained.
Facilitate and support Quality units in releasing quarantined supplies to Manufacturing.
Assist Supply Chain Management with the preventative maintenance (PM) of temperature-controlled units (TCU) assigned to our department.
Take directives from management as it relates to 5s initiatives for ensuring the warehouse is clean and orderly.
Must execute all duties in collaboration with all Abeona Team members, be an engaged team player and communicate effectively.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required (work experience can be substituted).
Minimum of 1-3 year inventory experience. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital or working in a GMP manufacturing environment, is a plus.
Must be organized, always able to receive new information and show a high attention to detail.
Demonstrated proficiency in cGMP, basic arithmetic, planning, tracking, prioritization and timelines with a hands-on approach.
Capable of executing actions based on written instruction.

This role partners closely with Fulfillment leadership to support cycle counting, reconciliation, storage organization, and inventory transactions, while also jumping in to support daily shipping activity when needed.
We are currently hiring two Inventory Control Specialists for 1st and 2nd shift.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Complete daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
Maintain accurate on-site inventory for:
Raw material
Work-in-process (WIP)
Finished goods
Perform inventory movements, adjustments, and transactions in the system
Support inventory storage and flow improvement projects
Rotate stock to ensure FIFO practices are followed (especially with packaging changes)
Review inventory reports and proactively resolve accuracy issues
Participate in continuous improvement efforts across Fulfillment and Operations
Support daily fulfillment operations as needed, including:
Picking, packing, and shipping
Order verification and accuracy checks
YOU'LL BRING:
2 to 4 years experience in a fast-paced warehouse / distribution environment
Experience in a high volume, high mix operation
Strong math, organization, and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and stay effective in a busy environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
Comfort working cross-functionally with other departments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
WMS experience
Lean / Continuous Improvement exposure (or willingness to learn)
Strong problem solving and root cause investigation skills
Financial acumen / inventory valuation awareness
WHERE YOU'LL WORK:
Work is performed in an active warehouse / fulfillment environment. Safety and accuracy are critical, and you'll be working around moving inventory, packaging materials, and equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs regularly
Ability to remain active on your feet for extended periods during the shift

The
Inventory Control Specialist
is responsible for assisting in the cycle counting, auditing, and replenishment stocking for Bulk Apothecary, located in Aurora, OH. The hours of work are approximately 7am - 3:30 pm +/-, Monday-Friday. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.

Cycle count all directly outsourced items
Adjust Inventory levels within computer software system
Work cross-departmentally to update information and communicate product availability and inventory replenishment
Assist in the replenishment stocking of designated aisles and product lines
Coordinating the overstock of products sold in pick bins within designated aisles
Conduct audits of products and targeted areas
Adjust Inventory as needed
Provide regular lists or work orders to select area for replenishment
Assist Pick/Pack Associates with location of items on the Pick Floor
Interpret Raw Material Inventory or Overstock Inventory and work cross-departmentally to complete accurate inventory adjustments
Perform additional tasks or duties as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
1-3 years or equivalent experience in Inventory or Warehouse work
Strong problem solving skills
Strong computer skills - familiarity with Google software and Excel, a plus
Excellent organizational skills
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Moderate to light physical activity; standing for long periods, frequent bending, pushing up to 60 lbs., frequent walking for up to eight (8) hours per day
The ability occasionally move or lift objects over 60 pounds
Work involves light exposure to unusual elements, such as temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
