NATURE OF WORK
This position is responsible professional law enforcement work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances for the City of Fremont.
Work also involves responsibility for the protection of life and property, prevention of crime, apprehension of criminals, and the enforcement of laws and ordinances on an assigned shift. Work involves an element of personal danger, and officers must be able to act without direct supervision. An employee in this classification is expected to exercise independent judgement within the parameters of the departmental policies, procedures and regulations while meeting both routine and complex emergency situations. In accordance with established operating procedures, work assignments, and instructions are received in general terms from a superior officer who reviews work methods and results through reports, observations, discussions, and semi-annual performance evaluation. Supervision is received from an administrative superior.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Patrols a designated area of the City in a patrol car; prevents and discovers commission of crime, apprehends criminals and offenders; enforces vehicle and traffic laws; makes police presence known in a manner that contributes to deterrence of law violations.

Farm Operations is responsible for approximately 3,000 acres of row crop production that supports large scale research and provides forage and feedstuffs to the animal science units located on the facility.
As a Farm Hand, you will:
* Operate vehicles to transport supplies and harvested crops.
* Maintain facility grounds and roadsides.
* Perform routine farm equipment maintenance and repair.
* Perform field activities associated with irrigated and dry-land crop production.
* Perform other duties as assigned and dictated by the needs of the facility.
This position requires irregular hours and work in inclement weather. Within the UNL system this position is categorized as an Ag Research Technician I.

Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and
* One (1) year of experience operating agricultural equipment. Additional years of completed relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
* Knowledge of basic agronomic principles used in the production of forage crops.
* Knowledge and ability to operate and adjust agriculture field equipment in addition to basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
* Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
* EPA Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License
* NRD certified nitrogen license

SUMMARY: The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by receiving items into inventory and issuing them to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
