Overview:
The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is seeking a Division Chief of Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology to oversee the Division's established programs and set a bold vision for its future growth and vitality. The incoming leader will participate in direct patient care, lead research initiatives, and mentor the next generation of Academic Neurologists.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the Division's established programs, including clinical care, research, and education
* Set a bold vision for the Division's future growth and vitality
* Participate in direct patient care and provide multidisciplinary care to patients
* Lead research initiatives, including experimental therapeutics, clinical trials, and translational research
* Mentor and sponsor the next generation of Academic Neurologists
* Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion through recruitment, education, and mentorship of faculty, staff, residents, and fellows
Qualifications:
* MD or equivalent degree
* NYS Medical licensure
* Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at the level of Associate Professor or above
* Board Certified in Neurology
* Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
* Criminal background check required
* Compliance with University and New York State health requirements
