Pathologist job description


Overview:


We are seeking a Board Certified Pediatric Pathologist to join our academic department at Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth). As a key member of our multidisciplinary Anatomic Pathology team, you will possess a strong interest in Pediatric and Perinatal Pathology, with additional expertise in other major surgical pathology areas a plus.
Responsibilities:


• Support institutional academic and scholarly missions

• Participate in providing education and training of students, residents, and staff

• Join an academic department with a strong and diverse faculty, an ACGME accredited residency program, and a supportive atmosphere for practicing anatomic pathology

Qualifications:


• M.D, or M.D./Ph.D (or foreign equivalent degree)

• Possession/eligibility for an unrestricted medical license to practice in New York State

• Possession/eligibility to obtain appropriate Certificates of Qualification (CoQ) for Medical Directorship in New York State (preferred)

• Board certification in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, or in Anatomic Pathology and in Pediatric Pathology

• Additional Certification/experience in subspecialty board/area (plus)
