GENERAL FUNCTION: To demonstrate the skills necessary to construct and maintain the electric distribution system by providing high quality electric service to all customers. EDUCATION: High school graduate plus advanced trade knowledge equivalent to four years apprenticeship is required. Previous work experience as a lineman. Job Type: Full-Time, Shift: 5-day, 8-hour schedule, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Subject to call-outs for emergency maintenance.) ADM is seeking a safety-focused Electrician to support our flour milling operations in Arkansas City KS. This full-time position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems across all facility operations. In addition to electrical duties, the Electrician may be called upon to support general maintenance or millwright work when electrical tasks are not active (a team driven atmosphere). This is a hands-on role that directly supports plant uptime, safety, and productivity in an active flour milling operation. Key Responsibilities: * Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems including control panels, motor starters, switches, lighting, sensors, and power distribution components. * Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in low and medium voltage systems, including 480V 3-phase equipment, using standard testing equipment. * Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, PLC systems, and process control equipment. * Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. * Execute new equipment installs and wiring, ensuring safe and code-compliant connections. * Utilize tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, and IR thermography devices for testing and analysis. * Support and troubleshoot basic automation/PLC control systems; programming experience is a plus. * Maintain accurate records of manuals, blueprints, replacement parts, and maintenance activities. * Conduct safety checks and regular inspections of electrical equipment, tools, and hazard monitoring systems. * May be required to assist with mechanical and millwright duties, including replacing motors, rigging equipment, or other mechanical system repairs. * Participate in safety meetings, audits, and training, and demonstrate commitment to ADM's "Zero-Injury" culture. * Support housekeeping and general maintenance as needed to ensure a safe, clean, and operational workspace. * Respond to emergency call-outs to address critical equipment failures as needed. Tools and Equipment You May Use: * Multimeters, megohmmeters, IR cameras * Conduit benders, knockout sets, cable pullers * Panel wiring tools, torque wrenches * CMMS software for documentation and work orders * Forklifts and manlifts (with certification) Qualifications & Skills: Required: * Minimum 4 years of experience as an industrial electrician. * Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, codes, and lock-out/tag-out procedures * Experience with 480V 3-phase wiring, motor control, and diagnostics * Ability to troubleshoot, install, and repair a wide range of plant electrical systems * Willingness to assist with general maintenance, mechanical work, or millwright tasks when needed * Comfortable working in grain-handling environments with dust, grease, and varying temperatures * Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces * Strong communication and organizational skills * Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins Preferred: * Licensed industrial/commercial electrician * Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E * Experience with automation systems, PLC troubleshooting or programming * Background in food processing environments * Experience using CMMS or other work order tracking systems * Familiarity with rigging and mobile equipment (forklift, scissor lift, manlift) Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
