WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Education requirements are listed below: High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience requirement listed below: Minimum of one year distribution electrical power line work experience, OR one year of related line experience defined as: successful completion of a one year electrical power line school certificate plus a minimum of 16 weeks internship or distribution electrical power line experience, or an Associate degree from an electrical power line school which includes a minimum of 16 weeks internship or distribution electrical power line experience. Description Job Summary:To layout, install, repair, and maintain plant electrical systems.
Job Responsibilities:Installs low voltage electrical power distribution, lighting, and signaling systems in accordance to the National Electrical Code.
Verifies that medium and low voltage electrical protective devices are operating safely.
Able to read complex electrical plans, and installs electrical distribution as outlined.
Locates electrical malfunctions in plant power distribution equipment and electrical wiring.
Understands the use of a wide range of test equipment.
Safely makes repairs to malfunctioning electrical distribution equipment.
Uses lift equipment or ladders to access overhead equipment.
Responsible for quality of own work.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications Education:Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification plus one to two years electrical trades training.
Requires the use of shop math, wiring diagrams, handbook formulas, electrical trade knowledge, and knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Must obtain and maintain any necessary training and licensing, including but not limited to, Forklift Operation Certificate and Aircraft Operating Area License.
Experience:Requires 1 -2 years of electrical maintenance work in an industrial setting.
Working Conditions:Somewhat disagreeable due to the variety of work locations, both indoors and outdoors.
