Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting and execution
Develop, draft, tailor, and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by DoDI 5000.02 / Acquisition Framework, and relevant DoD Instructions (DoDI 5000.85 and DoDI 5000.87), AF, and local unit instructions and policies.
Support the development of the ASP, RFI/Market Research, RPP, Milestone Statutory and Regulatory requirements, Statement of Work, Compliance and Reference Document, Contract Deliverable Requirements List, and Rights in Technical Data and Software
Lead and coordinate all acquisition activities in preparing for Planning/Execution events
Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate, and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop acquisition plans, schedules, and executive program briefings
Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor design planning/execution reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements
Provide program element coordination, staffing and monitoring; advise and assist government customer regarding funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures

What You'll Do

Our National Security Solutions team is actively seeking an experienced Capture Manager to drive growth and capture new contract opportunities with Department of War and military space customers, including the U.S. Space Force and related agencies. You will develop and execute strategies tailored to defense and military space clients, leveraging deep industry relationships and market intelligence. You'll collaborate with technical, program, and executive teams to shape solutions that address mission-critical needs, ensure compliance, and maximize win probability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage two to four capture efforts in various stages for award within 18 months
* Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline for assigned organization
* Develop the opportunity through diligent and timely influencing of customers and by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter-company collaboration
* Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to identify customer objectives, priorities, and requirements and align company capabilities as an innovative industry leader
* Develop and maintain strong industry relations with large and small businesses with significant presence in assigned markets
* Conduct competitive analysis
* Develop and document effective win strategies
* Write compelling RFI responses and demonstrate solid business acumen in all capture pursuit decisions.

Required Qualifications:
* Security clearance requirement: Active TOP SECRET security clearance required
* Minimum 20+ years of experience including 10+ years of industry experience and 10+ years of experience in business development, capture management, or government contracting, with a proven track record in the defense and military space sectors.
* Demonstrated success in business development and capture of contracts valued greater than $500M
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
* Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace
* Working knowledge and experience within a mature, industry-leading capture organization targeting space and engineering support
* An ability to drive profitable financial outcomes on each capture with demonstrated understanding of corporate indirect rates and LOE/BOE development
* Proven success in the following discipline(s): Business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, USSF programs, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification
* Demonstrated leadership skills in services-centric organizations to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions
Preferred Qualifications:
* Active TS/SCI security clearance
* Master's degree in a business, science or science related curriculum
* 15+ years' experience supporting USSF community and/or space business development/capture
Work Environment:
* Location: Candidates living near Colorado Springs, CO, or Los Angeles, CA, are preferred but other locations will be considered

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Basic Compensation:
* $202,000.00 - $304,000.00 (This range is for the Colorado area only).
* $222,000.00 - $332,000.00 (This range is for the California area only).
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
