The incumbent leads a crew, with the construction and maintenance of hiking trails, docks, and campgrounds, as well as the upkeep of grounds around park owned facilities and cultural landscapes. The incumbent is required to complete all facets of trail and campground maintenance including but not limited to the hauling of heavy timbers and construction of boardwalk, installation of trail drainage components such as rock or wood water bars and culverts, removal of stumps and rocks, installation of trail and park signs, construction of trail bridges, and the identification of and felling of hazard trees. Be on-call as scheduled by management for after hour emergencies. Will respond to all emergencies within 30 minutes, and in accordance with the Insurance/Crisis Response Policy.
Test all emergency lighting in accordance with the preventive maintenance manual procedures.
Check exterior of buildings for any maintenance problems. Replace light bulbs as necessary.
Check vacant apartments for needed repairs and complete those repairs.
