Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Screen and evaluate any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditions
Screening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides
Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policies
Ensure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelines
Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results
Meet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedure
Finalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely manner
Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed
Comply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policies
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university
Successful competition of an accredited Cytology program
ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is required
Prior experience working in Cytology is preferred
ThinPrep certification is a plus
Must pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency test
Demonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniques
Automated and non-automated testing experience is preferred
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)

Job Summary
The Robotic Lab + Woodshop Supervisor (under the direction of the Woodshop Manager), will serve as the director of the school's Robotic Lab as well as assist in a range of additional day-to-day duties throughout the shop facilities. Provide essential instructional support and technical expertise specific to robotic technology in support of the school's entire academic and research enterprise. The supervisor will be a champion of integrating advanced manufacturing technologies with critical design-driven workflows. Minimum Qualifications

The Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of laboratory duties within the assigned department, in order to provide appropriate service levels to both internal and external customers.
The Laboratory Assistant I will be proficient in one of the following, the Laboratory Assistant II will be proficient in two of the following, and a Laboratory Assistant III will be proficient in all of the following:
Laboratory Customer Service
Phlebotomy
Specimen Processing
Education/Accredited Programs
High School Diploma/GED.
Phlebotomy experience preferred
Experience in a Healthcare/Customer Service Environment or similar setting preferred
Skills/Abilities:
Medical Terminology preferred
Proficient in keyboarding
Ability to use a computer and required applications
Ability to read, analyze, interpret business documents, policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate both directly and via phone/email sensitive information and respond to questions from patients, customers, provider, coworkers, and vendors
Ability to recognize and solve basic problems regarding area of responsibility and to refer involved issues to the department supervisor
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers
Ability to work under stressful situations and able withstand the sight of blood
Ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in simple written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to read and comprehend departmental SOPS and safety manuals.
Ability to utilize basic ordering and inquiry functions within the Laboratory Information System.
Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $17.25 to $22.50 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.

What the role is about:
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the production of cannabis-based medicines through the extraction, processing, formulation, and packaging of cannabis materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Note: The work schedule for this role is 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
What impact you'll make:
Assist in the production of cannabis-based medicines, including extraction and processing of cannabis material.
Perform distillation of active cannabinoid content and other formulation activities as required.
Operate and maintain manufacturing and laboratory equipment; assist with minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
Package cannabis products according to formulation and quality standards.
Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
Keep accurate and up-to-date laboratory logs, recording all tasks performed and relevant results.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of production materials to ensure supply chain continuity.
Provide feedback to support continuous improvement of processes, efficiency, and product quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Ensure the lab and all equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and properly prepared for the next day's shift.
Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure adequate product supply to meet patient demand.
What you've accomplished:
Associate degree or a minimum of two years of relevant experience in manufacturing or laboratory operations.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical and Communication Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers, both in person and through telephone and email.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
Normal hearing and vision are essential for conversations, receiving information, and reviewing documents.
Some heavy lifting may be required; must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally.
Good manual dexterity required for handling office and laboratory equipment.
Must be comfortable operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.
Strong reasoning skills necessary to solve a wide range of problems.
Work Environment:
Indoor work in a traditional laboratory setting.
Regular exposure to chemicals and laboratory agents.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety clothing, goggles, gloves, face masks, or hats is required when necessary.
Activities involve extended periods of sitting or standing and frequent use of laboratory and packaging machinery.

Starting union pay is at $23/hr .
