About the Role
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, problem-solving individual to join our Laboratory Operations team. This role is intended for an experienced laboratory operations professional who enjoys hands-on work, owning day to day lab processes and supporting a fast paced lab environment. The Lab Operations Associate plays a critical role in enabling scientists and engineers by ensuring laboratories are safe, organized, compliant and fully operational- allowing teams to focus on experimentation, innovation and product development. Our products have allowed researchers to study biology at unprecedented resolution and scale; yielding insights in diverse fields such as cancer biology, immunology, neuroscience, and developmental biology.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, action driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment while making immediate and meaningful contributions. This position reports to the Lab Operations Manager.
What You Will Be Doing
Support laboratories: perform day-to-day routine equipment maintenance, schedule calibration/preventative maintenance, organize lab operation processes, and support general lab activities along with the Lab Operations team to promote an efficient working environment
Act as a point of contact for lab-related service vendors and contractors including stockroom inventory, lab coat laundering, pipette management
Install, inventory, maintain, troubleshoot, coordinate services, and retire lab equipment when necessary
Utilize lab asset tracking tools and documentation platforms (e.g., spreadsheets, ticketing systems, inventory management systems, and internal databases) to track equipment, inventory and service records
Document, organize, and analyze service agreements and reports obtained from calibration and maintenance processes from external vendors
Perform other duties as assigned in conjunction with the Laboratory Operations team
Collaborate with EH&S, Facilities, Logistics, and IT teams to ensure a safe and functional lab environment and serve as a trusted partner by identifying gaps, improving lab processes and escalating risks or issues as needed.
Work collaboratively with R&D stakeholders and procurement and finance business partners to assess R&D equipment needs
To Be Successful You Will Need:
Associate's Degree in biological, chemical, or related science field
2-3+ years of hands-on experience supporting laboratory operations in an R&D or scientific environment
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities and solve problems in a fast paced laboratory environment
Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions oriented mindset
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills / Experience
Bachelor's Degree in biological, chemical, or related science field
Hands on experience performing internal preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, basic equipment servicing and maintaining service documentation
Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program. What You'll Do:
Ensure Quality Control. Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and arrival upon the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
Document and Report Information. Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results. Communicate test results in a timely manner to the supervisor and properly document in a database.
Maintain Lab Standards. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab. Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.

This is an unpaid Volunteer/Intern position for Active Duty Service members participating in the SkillBridge program prior to completion of military service. The successful candidate will help Dudek staff collect and analyze laboratory and environmental data related to aquatic invasive species management and prepare associated analyses and reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collects and interprets analytical and environmental chemistry, biology, toxicology, hydrology, meteorology, and other related data and observes and clearly notates field conditions, meeting notes, etc. related to aquatic invasive species management;
Requires existing familiarity with standard and specialized aquatic toxicology laboratory equipment including but not limited to water quality testing equipment (Ph, EC, turbidity, etc.), hot water baths, compound microscope, laboratory glassware, flow-through aquaculture systems, and submersible pumps;
Reviews safety data sheets for all chemicals used in laboratory and strictly adheres to guidelines related to safe handling and required personal protective equipment (PPE);
Adheres to California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) collecting and biosecurity standards in accordance with an existing Scientific Collecting Permit (SCP);
Collects water and biological samples for subcontracted laboratory analysis;
Interacts with laboratories to obtain desired and quality-assured results;

Summary of Functions:
The Lab Technician will be responsible for biological and chemical evaluation of final product, intermediate products, raw materials, and production facilities. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced phlebotomists and medical lab technicians who are able and willing to work independently and travel to patient homes and client sites in one of our regional service areas in order to perform blood draws, medical specimen collection, specimen processing, general customer support.
Job specific training, equipment and supplies are provided. This is NOT another lame contract phlebotomy job for insurance paramedical exams! This is a REAL job, with REAL pay and benefits.
Successful candidates need to be very customer-oriented and responsible; must have the ability to work well independently with follow through on tasks. Applicants must look and act professional and have great patient and customer interaction skills. Knowledge of basic computer skills, web-based applications, EMR or LIS systems is ideal. This is a position that combines direct patient care, customer relationship management, and operations support activities.
Successful applicants must have a minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience and should possess experience that demonstrates progressive responsibility. You must be a licensed and/or certified phlebotomy technician in your state of residence. Applicants that possess drug screening knowledge and have a second language skill are preferred but is not necessary to apply.
Compensation starts at $25 per hour, plus mileage. Paid time off and holiday pay are standard. A technician working full-time should earn more than $65k per year, plus benefits. Performance incentives with a bonus for superior performance are awarded annually.

Responsibilities
- Sample intake, scheduling, and tracking according to established priorities and workflows
- Prepare samples for nucleic acid extraction including creating extraction plate maps, dividing seeds, setting up sample tubes, grinding, adding extraction buffer, centrifuging and transferring liquid
- Perform nucleic acid extractions using automated platforms (e.g., KingFisher and/or Maxwell) and follow SOPs for DNA/RNA workflows
- Run PCR/qPCR assays: prepare PCR plate maps, prepare master mixes, set up multi-target/multi-sample PCR reactions in 96/384-well format
- Liquid handling with pipettes: single channel, multichannel, repeaters, serological, semi-automated high throughput liquid handling equipment, etc.
- Preparation of buffers and reagents
- Manage back-sample storage, ensure proper seed extract storage, and proper disposal of testing materials
- Prepare assay controls (including negative, positive, and process controls)
- Maintain kit and reagent logs, including lot number tracking and basic inventory coordination
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Basic lab chores (putting supplies away, autoclave materials, taking out trash & recycling, etc.) and general lab housekeeping (washing general glassware, general cleaning etc.)
- Ensure proper documentation is kept per our SOPs including documenting and communicating test deviations or issues
- Collaborate with teammates to share spaces/equipment and meet turnaround times
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow relevant safety SOPs
- Actively participate in the labs quality management system (QMS)
- Help troubleshoot equipment and assay issues
- Assist with other lab tasks or processes as needed

- Able to pipette small volumes accurately and consistently in 384-well formats
