Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Laboratory testing to meet standards set up in PMO, Standard Methods for the Dairy Industry and FDA 2400 methods requirements.
Pulling, logging, and running finish product and processing samples for all test required on each product.
Pull sample of incoming raw material and packaging to determine acceptability of loads from our suppliers.
Audit CIP chemical concentrations and ensures compliance to company specifications.
Must be able to prepare media and other lab controls. These would include but are not limited to pour plates, buffer water, etc.
Operate autoclave to sterilize plates and equipment as needed while ensuring sterility test are accurate.
Assist in lab equipment PMs such as cleaning the Micro Luminescence Systems weekly with caustic; drain and clean the autoclave bi-weekly; changing fluid standards and filters on the cryoscopy.
Inoculating batch tanks with enzyme and vitamins and recording usages on the various logs.
Responsible for the daily cleanup and review of racking systems in the incubators and cooler to set up for shelf life testing.
Participate in environmental testing in and around plant that includes swabbing, air plating, water sampling, etc.
Verifies that plant equipment meets sanitation requirements prior to start up.
Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.
Education and Experience:
Prior experience in food manufacturing.
Knowledge of food microbiology, chemistry, dairy standards and CIP sanitation.
Intermediate Computer Skill (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)

What You'll Do
As a Laboratory Analyst - Technician you will perform testing on natural and synthetic minerals from internal and external sources using physical and chemical test procedures. As an integrated part of the technician team, assist in sample logging and perform additional tasks as directed by the Laboratory Manager. You will work closely with production and research as well as other team members across the Washington Mills family.
Maintain accurate and complete records of analysis, perform calibration of equipment, and maintain instruments
Use instrumental analysis and wet chemistry methods as directed by the Laboratory Manager
Work collaboratively in a manufacturing setting with other Laboratory team members
What You'll Need
To be successful in this position, you must:
Possess an Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science with 3-5 years' of experience
Have the ability to perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data
Be well organized and detail oriented
Be able to work well independently and within a team environment
Have good math skills and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to obtain government clearance upon hire, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation

We are hiring a 2nd Shift Quality Control Technician (Quality Inspector / QC Inspector) to perform inspections on welded, fabricated, and assembled components throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on fabricated metal parts, welds, and assemblies
Conduct visual weld inspections and dimensional inspections
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and mechanical prints
Maintain accurate QC reports, inspection logs, and test data
Calibrate and maintain measurement tools and QC equipment
Identify nonconformities (NCRs) and communicate issues to supervisors
Support continuous improvement for quality assurance and welding quality
Work closely with fabrication, welding, assembly, and engineering teams
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience as a Quality Control Technician, Quality Inspector, QC Inspector, Welding Inspector, or Manufacturing Quality Technician
Experience with weld inspection and metal fabrication inspection
Proficiency using calipers, gauges, tape measures, squares, and weld inspection tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, fabrication prints, and electrical diagrams
Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, tolerances)
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop-floor production environment
High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
AWS CWI certification or working toward certification
Experience in welding, structural steel, modular manufacturing, or industrial fabrication

Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment and instruments including but not limited to Microscopes, IR Analyzers, pH meters.
Conduct tests to determine chemical/physical and microbiological characteristics for raw and finished products using established SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
Perform sensory analysis on ingredients and finished products to ensure conformance to regulatory and customer quality requirements.
Record all test results on standardized forms, and complete data entry into appropriate systems.
Responsible for release of fluid product for loadout, batch blend, and/ or packaging lines.
Responsible for communicating any out of specification test results and/or other quality issues to appropriate production and/or QA management as necessary.
Directs incoming tanker trucks to the appropriate receiving bay as required and notifies appropriate production personnel.
Operate the truck scale to ensure accurate weights of incoming and outgoing fluid loads for payment.
Generates Bill of Lading and Certificate of Analysis for outgoing bulk tanker loads.
Performs calculations including: adjustments for standardizing Evaporated Milk tanks to meet the Regulatory Standard of Identity and product specifications.
Provide administrative support during off hours such as answer incoming switchboard calls and security check in/check out of visitors/vendors.
Performs other related duties as required by QA Management.

Management Responsibility:
The QC Laboratory Technician is an individual contributor role that operates under the guidance and direction of the Laboratory Supervisor.
Work Environment:
The QC Laboratory Technician performs duties in both an office and manufacturing environment with majority of time in the QC Laboratory.
Must be able to see, sit, stand, bend, and reach. Ability to operate general office equipment (computer, phone, calculator, copier, etc.) and lift up to 35 lbs. required.
Must adhere to General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and wear appropriate PPE when in the Manufacturing plant and exposed to loud noise, hot/cold temperatures and wet floors.
Pay: $21 USD per hour*
Shift: Evenings (2pm - 10:30pm) & Overnights (10pm- 6:30am) with Saturday and Sunday work requirement every other week plus holidays.
