Maintain logbooks and records laboratory test sent out, tracking results. Performs proficiency testing on laboratory equipment as indicated; maintains log of proficiency testing results. Establishes controls and standards for in-house laboratory procedures. Performs venipuncture and finger sticks on students and employees; collects viable specimens from the Health Center patients in an accurate and timely manner. Adheres to standards set by OSHA, CLIA, and COLA in documenting quality control procedures. Works with the Health Center regarding test availability and the collection of specimens. Prepares specimens, records for in-house and outside laboratory procedures, and records lab results. Performs monthly control procedure on all laboratory equipment in accordance with OSHA and CLIA. Tracks laboratory results for missing reports and follow-up on missing reports. Maintains daily statistics for laboratory procedures. Conduct mandated lab review with designated accrediting agency. Train on Banner and MediCat software platforms. Additional duties may be added as indicated.
