What you'll be doing Conduct critical chemical and physical analysis on raw materials, initial, in-process and final products, and samples collected from the environmental monitoring programs at the Round Lake manufacturing facility. Overview: The lab tech position has primary responsibility for ensuring the quality of the product and finished goods being produced and that they meet all customer specifications by performing the laboratory testing and line verifications. 3rd Shift The Lab Technician will utilize a solid foundation of basic laboratory techniques and experience, such as flow cytometry and sperm physiology. Under the supervision of the Lab Manager, the Lab Technician will learn how to operate several sorting units at one time. The Lab Technician will provide training to other individuals who may be assigned to the laboratory on a regular or temporary basis. The primary purpose of this position is to support the test activities of the product Reliability Test Lab with particular focus in the areas of Chemical Compatibility of thermoplastic polymers. This position requires direct involvement in the testing of components and assemblies to identify chemical germicides compatible with materials used to construct system components and provide objective evidence of system safety and effectiveness following exposure to germicides for durations consistent with program service life expectations. Responsibilities and Duties (Essential Functions) Work under supervision of engineers and technicians and receive guidance in the use of standard company test procedures in the area of chemical compatibility. Perform functional and safety verification testing. Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in test method to improve efficiency.
