Specific Duties
The class participants will consist of both construction and landscape contractors who are required to complete their continuing education requirements. The instructor must be able to successfully teach and adapt subject matters to both types of attendees in the same classroom session.
There is some flexibility in how the course will be broken down into sessions and dates. To quality for CCB requirements, the course must offer a minimum of 16 hours instruction.
Two course models may be requested: A Friday-Saturday intensive 16-hour course and/or a five-night course. Complete course descriptions will be provided by the SBDC if the applicant is chosen for an interview: 1) Business Survival 2) Job Costing and Managing Your Expenses 3) Leadership Skills 4) Safety in the Workplace 5) Training Your Workers and 6) Using Independent Contractors.
Education: Must have at least four years work experience or four years of education, or any combination of both, in the subject matter as it relates to Construction or Landscape contracting. Bilingual (Spanish-English) skills a plus.
Experience: Must have construction and/or landscaping management experience; at least four years work experience or four years of education, or any combination of both, in the subject matter as it relates to Construction or Landscape contracting. Prior teaching experience and prior business ownership is preferred.
Knowledge of: Tools for communication and learning, curriculum development, group and/or individual discussion communications skills, technology and multi-media presentation skills (such as PowerPoint presentations, Zoom instruction, as appropriate. Technology training is available for candidates who meet other qualifications.

OVERVIEW OF DAILY TASKS
• Clean around building
• Fill water buckets and towel dispensers on gas and diesel island
• Empty all outside garbage receptacles
• Check Crind paper and fill when needed
• Wash gas and diesel islands alternately in warm weather
• Clean fuel dispensers on both islands
• Inspect equipment on islands
• Keep well house and surrounding area clean
• Provide snow removal when necessary
• Check backup generators
• Maintain pickups
• Distribute floor dry as necessary
• Post water readings daily
