Essential Duties:
* Operate and maintain all grounds equipment used in the Grounds Department for lawn care and landscaping for the purpose of keeping the proper aesthetic appearance of the College grounds. Monitor and report bulk salt levels and contact vendor for replenishment.
* Perform parking lot and sidewalk maintenance which includes, crack sealing/pot hole patching/spot replacement/sealing/snow removal and salting to the extent that will ensure that conditions of the campus remain accessible by the public, staff, students, administration, and faculty.
* Operate and maintain all larger college-owned vehicles which require a CDL to drive. This would include driving/operating the vehicle to pick-up materials needed for college projects or donations to Elgin Community College. Some tasks require this type of specialized vehicle to accomplish the request.
