Job Responsibilities
Perform pre-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Check tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer for general operating requirements and make sure that all required equipment is available and in good operating condition. Note inspection and deficiencies on the pre-trip inspection form.
Drive a tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to transport product in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Follow MPC and site specific standard operating procedures for the loading and offloading process.
Perform post-trip inspection on equipment in alignment with MPC policy and DOT regulations. Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork. Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift.
Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, according to company procedures.
Report all equipment issues in a timely manner.
Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures, including all DOT regulations.
Physical Requirements Include
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to work on elevated spaces: 30+ feet on graded elevation.
Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50-65 lbs.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to grip a steering wheel for extended periods of time.

Locality pay varies by duty location.Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Administers trust, conservatorship, estate, agency and retirement plan accounts, assists in operational areas within the department, solicits new business and performs any necessary Bank training; oversees Bank stock transfer and dividend payment functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, SKILLS:
• Where the Bank is named Personal Representative, ensures that the Will is probated, assets are marshaled, an inventory is filed with the court, and estate administration duties are carried out
• Handles correspondence in connection with any account relationship, including personal trust matters
• Maintains communication with beneficiaries of respective personal trusts
• Assist public account firms, the FDIC or OFIR, and external auditors during their examinations of the Trust Department
• Maintains contact with members of the legal, accounting, and other professions to identify new business prospects
• Ensures that financial or other required reports are prepared to ensure grantors, beneficiaries, and the Probate Court are provided with timely financial information
• Ensures that income and other required tax returns are prepared and filed when due. Ensures timely payment of individual estimated taxes
• Is responsible for administration of retirement plan accounts
• Assists in reviewing the trust accounting system and other operation software that is utilized
•Attend educational seminars to stay current on trust operations, trust administration, retirement plan changes, etc., as needed
•Responsible for tax reporting for the department
•Responsible for specific client accounts including annual administrative review, meetings with clients and keeping file documentation current
•Member of the Trust Administration and Investment Committee and participates in Directors Trust Committee meetings
•Responsible for setting up investment review reports for Trust Administration and Investment Committee and Directors Trust Committee meetings
•Works with the Senior Investment Officer on the investment portfolios of personal trust or other accounts
•Actively solicits new business prospects; makes sales and/or new business calls
•Reviews and places security orders from custodial customers
•Assists shareholders and works with AST on stock transfer and dividends for Southern Michigan Bancorp
•Maintains effective communication with other bank officers and new accounts personnel to promote referral of trust customers
