As Leopardo Construction continues to grow, we are looking for a construction professional to join our team in the Director of Procurement role. The Director of Procurement shapes and executes the procurement strategies for Leopardo. This role procures, expedites and schedules deliveries of equipment, materials and services to job sites. Responsibilities will include establishing supplier bid lists, soliciting and evaluating supplier proposals and detailing direction to subcontractors bidding the project who will be assigned the goods procured. The Director of Procurement is also empowered to drive new strategic initiatives, build additional supplier relationships and expand internal scope of the procurement program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage end to end procedures to improve procurement systems and implement best practices to maximize efficiencies
Introduce innovative strategic sourcing solutions that enhance profitability
Work with the estimating / management team to prepare supplier requests for proposals, direction to subcontractor bidders and notice to procures to ownership
Prequalify supplier bidders. Based on equipment scheduled, develop a list of manufacturers to ensure the right vendor receives the Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents, including any addenda(s). Monitor the suppliers bid list to ensure bid coverage. Assist with maintaining strategic and ongoing communication with vendors/ subcontractors. Aid in the review and qualification of supplier proposals and associated subcontractor bids
Support in equipment selection / specification analyses and management of equipment schedule development at all stages of preconstruction
Negotiate contracts for materials, equipment and services with selected vendors. Develop new supply sources if necessary
Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency
Drive appropriate supplier segmentation strategies to establish sourcing direction based upon strategy, performance, and importance
Create value by introducing innovative sourcing solutions that impact results, enhance profitability and assist the organization to meet its business objectives and goals
Drive the internal development, roll-out, and implementation of purchasing guidelines, policies and procedures across the organization
Establish and build relationships with internal customers and other key stake holders within the Leopardo team
Develop effective supplier relationships at appropriate levels to ensure long-term partnerships with key suppliers
Develop and manage metrics to track cost savings, supplier performance via order to actual delivery time, purchase price variance and other critical key performance indicators
Evaluate and manage end to end procedures to improve procurement systems, identify synergies and implement best practices and processes to maximize efficiencies
Research new and improved sources of supply as appropriate to support sourcing activities
Support continuous improvement activities across the entire supply chain including development and implementation of appropriate measures of performance
Education / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in construction, engineering or architecture related fields or equivalent training and related experience
10+ years of applicable experience
Knowledge of market/industry: including knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, and electrical systems
Competency in basic construction technologies such as: scheduling software, financial comprehension and ability to read and understand blueprints is a must
Understand project management and accounting software; Autodesk Build is a plus

Leopardo considers many factors when determining actual salary including experience, education, unique skillsets, abilities, market, geography and business needs. Target base salary range: $125-145k. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Read work order. Set up cart. Lay down drop cloths or masking tape and paper. Remove fixtures if needed. Smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scarpers, brushes, steel wool and sanding machines. Bring bucket over using cart. Mix paint in bucket. Fill up air sprayer. Pour paint into paint trowel or tray. Use roller with long handle to paint surfaces or air gun to spray surfaces. Roll or spray surfaces in an up & down motion. This movement is repetitive. Some location will require hand painting using trowel. Use scaffold for high level surfaces. When using scaffold complete work from the waist level and up. This could be 25-100% of the day depending on assignment. Erect scaffolds and ladders.
Wall paper: Place strips of wallpaper onto table. Use clamp to keep wallpaper in place. Use roller to roll glue compound onto strips of wallpaper. Raise ends and lightly fold wallpaper. Set finished strip to side. Roll glue onto several wallpaper strips and carry over to work area. Align wallpaper to wall, using plate to smooth and get air bubbles out. This will activate the glue to the walls. Cut end of wallpaper if too long. Use scaffold for high level surfaces.

Position Summary
The Safety & Risk Management Director plans and implements the Company's Safe Workplace program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident‑free work environment on every project for employees and sub‑contractors. Works closely with Division leaders and Field Superintendents to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for an overall safe workplace which includes employee training, OSHA compliance, and risk management. Responsibilities also include identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with construction projects, including safety, financial, contractual, operational, and regulatory risks.
Responsibilities
Manage internal staff of safety professionals & individuals with various risk management functions. Assign safety department coverage for all active projects.
Function as main point of contact for reporting all incidents and ensure documentation is completed in a manner that best prepares for potential litigation. Timely communication of serious incidents to executive team.
Review daily safety audits & project safety dashboards to identify trends and frequent observations to ensure appropriate follow‑up is being done at the project level with appropriate parties. Provide feedback to safety team members on their audits to ensure consistency in wording & closure of observations.
Function as main point of contact with insurance brokerage team & various carriers.
Manage all insurance claims from reporting to closure. Includes frequent & regular communication with adjusters, attorneys, medical providers, & Aon/Travelers claim advocates.
Manage insurance compliance of subcontractors within third party compliance management system.
Review insurance requirements from clients and provide guidance as needed on requirements & compliance questions from subcontractors & project managers.
Manage annual insurance program renewal process. Includes preparation, review, & submission of required documentation to brokerage team. Provide requested follow‑up items as needed, and ensure binding is completed in a timely manner.
Provide guidance to internal operations staff on questions related to B&A's insurance program, including project specific enrollments for builders' risk & subcontractor default insurance.
Oversight of subcontractor pre‑qualification system.
Identify safety & risk management training needs. Collaborate with appropriate parties to design & execute training on a regular basis.
Maintain OSHA 300 logs & complete any required government submissions.

Qualifications

10 years of experience or equivalent level of education combined with experience.
