These entry level positions involve doing general labor around the mill, including picking up paper, operating forklifts, handling chemicals, cleaning, etc. Must be able to carry/lift 50 lbs. Candidates with previous experience operating fork trucks or other mobile equipment are preferred, but that experience is not necessary for consideration. We operate on a rotating shift, and membership in the Union is required after 60 days.

Observing and maintaining magnesium, silicon, and chill material levels. Additionally, change lime bags as necessary.
Pouring Iron
Weigh coke and lime before each charge, check the coke and lime scale.
Clean the cupola long runner.

Inspect machinery for mold defects.
Operate control panels to operate machinery.
Apply grease on spigot ring using a brush to spinning pipe mold. Remove iron from spigot ring and spill tray.

Attention to detail, a strong sense of teamwork and a positive attitude are a must! This is a full-time day shift position - Monday through Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.
What you'll do
Monitor the production line
Participate in line changeover between production runs, adding some variety in your day
Read and follow guides and processes related to product labeling
Assist in quality control of end products
Clean the line at the end of each shift and during any downtime
Follow safety guidelines.
What you need to thrive in this role
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior assembly and/or QC experience in an assembly environment a plus!
