Job Description SHIFT Weekend (Friday- Sunday 5 AM - 5:30 PM) - 1 The Production Assembler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality products. Responsible for executing assembly tasks according to the work instructions, this role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards. The Production Assembler must achieve set production goals, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and leverage Lean manufacturing tools to enhance efficiency. Plans assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience. Use of hand files or portable grinders, to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts. Drills, taps or reams holes, using portable drill. Aligns components, and bolts or screws using hand tools or portable powered tools. Installs moving parts, for example shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement. Test or assist in testing operation of completed product lines. Uncrating equipment from suppliers for production and crating equipment for shipment. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Key Responsibilities: - Assembly: Assemble trailers, machines and other sub-assemblies. Read and interpret process documentation, drawings, prints, diagrams, and/or schematics. Pull parts from inventory to assemble trailers. Complete paperwork such as work orders, forms and checklists associated with assembly of device. Basic testing, troubleshooting and inspection of assembled products for defects and quality. Document and update assembly processes as necessary. - Warehouse: Uncrating equipment from suppliers to get sub-assemblies ready for final assembly and test. Crating of equipment for shipment to customer. Assist loading and unloading of container shipments and trucks Help organize and track equipment inventory in warehouse. - Miscellaneous: Maintain inventory accuracy.
