WORK HOURS
Seasonal Team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.
Peak Season (July-December) Requirements
Shift hours Monday through Friday; 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, or 10pm-6am.
Candidates must be available to work the 2nd or 3rd shift seasonally. (All shifts must train on 1st shift for 2 or 3 weeks).
Mandatory paid overtime may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

With the Yearbook Bindery Production Team, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment printing high school and college yearbooks to help our customers celebrate some of their greatest achievements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Locates and loads paper in presses.
Brings plate carts to press room and files plates in the appropriate racks.
Takes jobs to the press.
Locates and pulls plates for the jobs at press.
Mixes fountain solutions and keeps tanks full.
Keeps the chemical cans and bottles at press full
Maintains responsibility for the proper storage in and housekeeping of the chemical storage room.
Brings press supplies to the Press Operator as needed.
Washes up the presses in the absence of the Press Operator.
Operates the forklift, power jack and hand jacks.
Maintains responsibility for the general housekeeping of the press room.
Assists the Press Operator in any needed job functions on the presses
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work all hours needed including overtime
Must be able to operate pallet movers and hand jacks.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
1 - 2 years' experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as tracking sheets, order confirmation sheets and work orders
Proven ability to excel in a high production manufacturing environment which focuses on safety, quality control, and organization
Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record
Must be very comfortable with Microsoft Office, with extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees must be able to stand for extended periods of time during 8-10 hour shifts (with scheduled breaks), walk continuously between production stations, and perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to load machines or retrieve materials. The role also requires the ability to climb short ladders or steps to access equipment, use hands to feed sheets, adjust machine settings, and operate small tools, as well as maintain good hand-eye coordination for quality checks, trimming, stitching, binding, and handling small components on binding and finishing machines. Workers must have adequate vision to safely monitor moving mechanical equipment and be able to tolerate high noise levels from presses and bindery machinery, exposure to paper dust and ink or chemical odors, and temperature variations ranging from warm areas near presses to cooler warehouse environments.

Job Description
General Production Worker
Thuasne has an immediate opening in Kansas City, KS for a 1st shift General Production Worker III. Regular Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Fleeces socks separately utilizing designated machinery, inspects for flaws and places appropriate job ticket with socks and forwards
Cuts yardage to be washed
Processes and steams socks in the prepping area
Inspects textile products for proper measurements, flaws, and content
Scans WO's into the system
Performs quality control inspections
Provides general janitorial work throughout manufacturing area
Follows priorities and workorder due dates when completing work
Actively participates in department Quality meetings and Lean initiatives
All other duties as assigned, including helping in other departments as needed.
Qualifications
High School or equivalent diploma
6 months - 1 Year of manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge of computer, keyboard, and calculator
Ability to stand for at least 8 hours a day
