Review Conventional Mortgage and Home Equity applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with investors, insurers, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants providing regular updates, answering questions, and guiding them through the loan process.
Verify supporting documentation including income, assets, employment, credit, property, and other required items for underwriting submission.
Identify and obtain missing or incomplete documentation needed to advance the loan file to the next processing stage.
Ensure all documentation and data in the loan file are current and meet guidelines prior to submission to underwriting.
Maintain up to date knowledge of mortgage and home equity loan products, underwriting guidelines, compliance regulations, and internal procedures. Maintain up to date knowledge of underwriting guidelines for Fannie Mae, Federal Home Loan Bank, and internal loan programs.
Collaborate with mortgage loan officers, underwriters, closers, and other third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
Update loan origination systems with new documentation and status changes throughout the loan process.
Prepare and review loan files for submission to underwriting and closing, ensuring files are complete, accurate, and audit ready.
Coordinate with the closing department by forwarding approved loan files and preparing the required documents.
Monitor and maintain a daily average pipeline, meeting deadlines and ensuring files meet service level expectations and move efficiently through the process.
Escalate issues that may delay or jeopardize loan approval or closing and work to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
Adheres strictly to all federal, state, investor, and internal compliance regulations and protocols.
Prepare and organize loan files, ensuring proper documentation, naming conventions, and file structure.
Maintain and renew NMLS registration annually by completing required continuing education and training.
Support the development and maintenance of training materials and job aids to promote standardized procedures and best practices across the processing team.
Required Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:
