Position Overview:
The Loan Processor position supports the Melville, NY office of CrossCountry Mortgage. The Loan Processor is responsible for accurately setting up new purchase applications, issuing pre-approval letters, processing and disclosing loans, and overseeing the success of every loan from contract to close. Job Responsibilities:
Serve as Primary contact and liaison between clients, Branch Manager, Branch Sales Manager and/or assigned Loan Originator(s).
Contact all borrower(s) within 24 hours after the LO appointment, fully review the loan applications and other documents with borrowers and effectively communicate all pre-approval parameters to borrowers.
Request and review the cash, credit, and income qualifications of all borrowers.
Review documentation received within 24 hours of receipt for discrepancies, omissions, verified income calculation, asset verification and Encompass updates based on verified information; immediately notify Loan Originators when any discrepancies are found on documentation. Track all requested documents in Encompass.
Communicate any red flags or major potential issues to the LO or Team Captain (if applicable) and Realtor partner and ensure understanding of all required conditions before contacting borrowers or third parties.
Meet deadlines (loan documents to title 3 days before closing) while maintaining multiple assignments/projects.
Handle all payment scenario requests.
Accurately pre-approve all borrowers and supplement the pre-approval letter with any pertinent documents (i.e., Pre-Approval Addendum, completed All About You form, etc.). Rush pre-approval requests when necessary.
Provide a courtesy phone call to the referring Realtor within 24 hours of issuance, ensuring they fully understand any important details of the pre-approval. Communicate effectively to all respective Realtor partners with updates as needed.
Accurately onboard all newly received contracts for Rate Lock consultation.
Expeditiously submit and disclose the loan application to remain TRID compliant.
Provide outstanding Borrower Tuesday Updates, Pre-Closing, and Funding Calls (if applicable).
Ensure 95% of all loans close on time with a mandatory daily gauge check to address choke points.
Attend weekly pipeline calls to handle 95% of all loan problems before escalating to the LO and ensure all required time-to-task objectives are met.
Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.
Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' current conventional fixed and ARM, HELOC and construction mortgage loan processing or origination experience.

Job Summary
Hanover Bank is looking for a Loan Closer II Officer - SBA. The Loan Closer II Officer - SBA reports directly to the Closing Manager and will be responsible for closing all SBA loans. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the closing of SBA loans from the time that the loan is approved to the time the loan is funded. The Loan Closer II Officer - SBA is responsible for making sure that all items from the pre-closing checklist are reviewed accurately and uploaded to the bank's internal system before scheduling a closing date. The Loan Closer II Officer - SBA will ensure the loan is closed correctly within the guidelines of the SBA as well as within the Bank's policy and procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between the closing attorney and the loan originator to coordinate outstanding items associated with the loan closing, preparation of loan documents, and handling the closing/funding.
Review insurance accord forms and obtain policies.
Prepare escrow analysis forms for real estate taxes and insurance.
Review loan documents to ensure that they accurately reflect the intentions of the credit approval.
Review title reports and surveys.
Work with the SBA Lender and Underwriter to understand the transaction and ensure all relevant documents are obtained to ensure a timely closing.
Maintain and update files, databases, records, and/or other documents for recurring internal reports.
Ensure Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements have been met prior to the loan closing File System Management.
Complete the pre-closing checklist and loan booking sheet.
Compile documents for customer files and complete booking forms for processing and assessment, ensuring that all loan documents are received within 48 hours of closing for a timely booking to the loan servicing system.
Ensure that all customer files are complete and in compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies.
Ensure customer privacy, security of files, and appropriate staff access to items.
Gather and analyze the required information to complete the equity injection, and complete the equity injection package to be reviewed by the Closing Manager.
Obtain the required information for construction transactions and post-closing transactions.
Work with the attorney to ensure the loan is clear to close and complete the required forms to fund the loan.
Input required information into the Bank's wire system and Bank platforms for funding.
Upload the required backup information for funding to the Bank platform in connection with funding.
Ensure all loans are closed in compliance with the SBA, Bank loan policy, and procedures.
Obtain all executed documents via email and track the original binder from the closing to the Bank.
Create ticklers for post-closing items.
Maintain pipeline report and notify management of status as needed. Process the documents received for each file, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document.
Make recommendations for procedural changes to increase efficiency.
Assist in the training of new employees.

Experience proactively soliciting new business.
Knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, underwriting, procedures, documentation and systems.
Experience converting leads and in-bound calls, preferred.
NMLS License under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 (“SAFE Act”) *, a plus.
State License under the terms of the SAFE Act*, a plus.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in standardized software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
