An ideal candidate would have Commercial due diligence, reviewed attorney prepared documents and have Document prep experience, and more importantly, be able to demonstrate that they live by the company core values. Responsibilities and Duties: This role is directly responsible for the pre-closing due diligence, gathering of supporting documentation, and preparing documents for disclosure requirements, new loan requests, or modification of existing loans. Prepares all loan packages for disclosure and closing purposes. Acts as primary support for all loan-related tasks for the bank's entire loan portfolio according to regulatory compliance, state law, and bank policy to mitigate risk, perfect liens, and ensure complete and proper documentation is in place. Directly responsible for the daily administration of all loans and related bank accounts. Key Roles/Responsibilities: • Perform Due Diligence and Loan Processing. • Prepare documents with attention to detail, and additional review prior to sending for closing to ensure minimal mistakes mitigating risk and client impact. • Follow the loan process to ensure safety & soundness by lien perfection & properly documented transactions. • Loan Support for the bank; collaborating with Client Advisors on upcoming transactions, timing - managing client expectations. • Efficiency & streamlining our processes - always looking for ways to improve & reduce duplicated efforts. • On-going training and sharing with fellow associates to ensure we are up to date on current items and processes. Responsibility Details: • For all loan requests: Pre-closing due diligence and gathering of supporting documentation for disclosure requirements, new loan requests, or modification of existing loans. Post-closing disbursement for purchase money transactions. • Daily routine includes Supporting documentation for all incoming loans, letters of credit, and subordination - order and review; review of attorney-prepared documents prior to closing based on the approval for accuracy and completeness; review of organizational documents to ensure proper legal naming and signer requirements; responsible for ensuring consumer regulatory timing requirements are being met as applicable. • Supports the lending staff in all loan-related questions and/or issues. As a Branch Loan Processor, you will provide quality service to our members by assisting them with loan applications, including interviewing, processing, and disbursing of funds. This position also assists with processing transactions accurately in accordance with established policies and procedures and educates about our products and services. This position is the "frontline" of the credit union and is a key role in achieving our member satisfaction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Stays informed and knowledgeable of all credit union rates, fees, products, and promotions to assist the members with financial needs. Actively cross-sells products and services. Provides information to members concerning different types of consumer loans, credit cards, terms, interest rates, and documentation needed for the loan. Completes teller transactions and works teller line as needed daily. Conduct financial planning discussions to uncover needs and make adequate recommendations by offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their personal financial goals. Educates members on technology and digital solutions offered by Cornerstone FCU. Actively refer members to Mortgages, Investments, and other solutions offered by Cornerstone FCU. Cross-sells and promotes CFCU financial services including payment protection, gap, and warranty options. Monitors loan queue and stays in communication with Centralized Lending for loans in progress. Processes member transactions, including, but not limited to, deposits, loan payments, cashier's checks, transfers, check cashing, withdrawals, and bank-to-bank wires each day during assigned time slot or as needed. Proofs, examines and verifies documents for endorsements and negotiability to ensure safe practices are followed. Detects and resolves discrepancies. Is alert and aware to help prevent fraudulent activity or errors that would result in a loss to the credit union. Opens and closes accounts, creates debit cards, and orders checks. Completes various forms associated with account ownership and member authorizations. Stays informed and knowledgeable about IRA and Business Accounts and assists members with opening these types of accounts. Balances daily transactions and verifies cash and check totals. Investigates and resolve out-of-balance conditions. Purchases and sells funds to the vault as needed to keep cash drawer at required levels. Understands and adheres to all applicable banking regulations and CFCU policies and procedures. Responds to member questions and direct them to other staff as needed. Some college or specialized financial services training is preferred. Experience One year in the financial service industry and/or lending experience. Duties Receive and assist in the completion of real estate loan applications, while serving as the primary point of contact for applicants during the origination process. Independently assess and underwrite real estate loan applications including but not limited to applicant(s) credit worthiness, ability to repay, collateral valuation, and organizational risk with the ability/authority to extend credit or deny for real estate loan products within assigned tiered approval lending limits. Educate members on available services and make referrals for other Credit Union products and services based on their needs. Ensure well documented, easy to review loan application history notes within the Loan Origination System. Work with Lending Contact Center to provide assistance with mortgage lending calls when needed. Support branch employees with all real estate related needs and ensuring employees have the information needed to be comfortable referring all potential applicants to discuss mortgage lending opportunities. Work various contact and follow-up reports to cultivate member engagement throughout the home buying process and make SECU their lender of choice. Assist as needed with community engagement by meeting with realtors and other third parties as well as attending community events to build and maintain mortgage loan volume.
