Consumer Loan Modification SpecialistACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT The Consumer Loan Modification Specialist processes consumer loan modification requests received from members that are experiencing a change in their financial position that is affecting their ability to maintain timely payments. All activities related to processing a consumer loan modification request must be conducted in compliance with credit union policies, procedures as well as all State, Federal and local regulations. Proficiency with all software, core systems and loan origination systems to include any applicable system coding required for tracking and reporting purposes. The incumbent will report to the Collections Operations Supervisor and will work collaboratively with the Sr. Loan Modification Coordinator on a day-to-day basis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reviews incoming consumer loan modification requests and accompanying documentation for completeness. Duties and responsibilities * Provide exceptional service to all customers. * Process credit loan applications and use product knowledge to present loan solutions to current and potential customers. * Maintain office cash with accuracy and proper security. * Grow account volume through good judgment and effective customer solicitations in the branch and by telephone. * Minimize delinquent debt through calling customers and collecting on past-due accounts. * Receive, track, and post all payments and fees to customer accounts in compliance with Company Policy. * Transport money and deposits to and from bank. * Other duties as assigned by leadership. Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or Equivalent. * Prior customer service experience in either a sales/retail environment or cash management environment. * Must pass drug screen, criminal and credit background checks. * Valid Driver's License and access to a dependable automobile with liability insurance coverage. SPECIFIC SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: · Above average communication skills both oral and written. · Proven ability to problem solve and manage several tasks and deadlines. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Proven ability to meet individual production expectations.
